mnk makes a good subjob for PLD, other than the lack of a provoke. Hopefully after this exspansion mnk and sam and other more DD style jobs make good subs for PLDs to run around with in exp, farming, questing and all that fun misison stuff we so hapily do.

Actually learn to play PLD the way it was meant to be played! Because, honestly, from a 68WHM point of view, in parties a knowlegable PLD is a much better assett than a NIN of same lvl.

Now, to hi-lite Lil-NIN's point.
Unfortunately, not enough PLD's know how to actually PLAY their job properly. In trying times such as those, a Ninja is a godsend. I love teh NIN. But only because 99.73% of the High Lvl PLD population consists of WoW dropouts.

Anyways, back on topic. New guy, after reading that FAQ go out and test your JAs and stuff, make sure you know exactly what you can and can't do. Also, remember that you can switch targets for Provoke and WSes while remaining targeted. Helps alot when tanking 2 things at once. Good luck, and welcome to the club.

lol i so want to comment on the whole E-penis thing. but after hearing thegrandmom whine for about 600 posts til i got warned.. all i will tell you is to go search it.

secondly im not starting a fight. im actually backing up what i have heard or read over the last year. PLD are so jealous of the nin. i can direct you to about 50 links that have pld whining about how nin are this an that. an plds are worthless. how everyone wants a nin tank, an plds have to wait days on end for invites an blah blah blah.

lastly i dont play NIN much anymore. its basically a stand by job now. im bst onry, the only time you will see me with nin is when my ls needs a nin to tank something. or if we need more tanks then DD. other then that the gear doesnt leave my storage.

Look dude, I don't pay attention to shit I don't care about. So no, I'm not going to search for posts containing whining. Trying to use facts to back up your biased opinion doesn't help you. I am fully aware that Paladins are bench warmers for endgame stuff, I've been there before. You came in here with a shitty attitude about this job, claiming that the new player shouldn't play what he wants so he doesn't come back in a few months complaining. I've got an idea. i agree, origonaly all jobs had a spacific role in the party and battle system. The fact that they didnt plan too much for others to over come the rolls that are preformed by other jobs is something they are trying to shape into what they origonaly desiered. The choice of a subjob added a dynamic to the game that they could hardly fathom quickly that has brought about changes to the game that the wish to sway more so than correct. that is all they are trying to do. I dont mind letting a NIN tank over my lazzy bum, but i dont like when a nin lets mobs hurt my friendly fighters mages and healers becuase they dont have all the potentials a PLD has that are underveloped or gimped by SE. (the shileding system is one big gimp they made worse.)
