Is it possible to solo for decent EXP with Spirit Taker?

I've had a LOT of bad parties recently at level 67, I left my last one with just 1000 exp after 2.5 hours. I tried playing around with BST sub, but didn't get much (nice for skill up though ^^). I do the Crawlers' Nest escort every week to try get EXP..

I also don't have a lot of time to play as of a week ago, so I'm just wondering if I got Spirit Taker it'd be possible for me to decently solo some EXP.

Just wait for the October update. They are introducing EXP enhancers for what it seems to be soloing EP/DC mobs.

I solo often using a Staff with Spirit Taker. The only problem is, with any 2-handed weapon you have a lengthy delay between swings, and sometimes Spirit Taker doesn't get very much return or you miss entirely. It's a gamble, but more often than not the payoff is worth it.

In short, it's very do-able, but expect long fights. Once you hit 73 do yourself a favor and buy a Primate Staff/Kinkobo. The damage on it is phenomenal and the +5% critical hit bonus is worth it. Your Spirit Takers will see bigger gains using this staff compared to an Earth/Terra's staff.

Ah thanks a lot, my PLD just hit 70 so I'm playing around with BST sub now and it's going quite well. I'll definitely get one of those staves though. Thanks for your reply.
