I wanted to tell you guys that I beat that stinky old mans' ass last night. Not total ownage though, more like precise and safe. I was 1minute and 6 seconds off the current record. But that didn't matter. All I wanted to do was beat Maat, and I did. ^_^ b. Now, for the ones that's looking forward to this fight. My approach was very cautious. Seeing that my friend has lost to him 2x (as a MNK), I wanted to take it slow and take my time. The only problem that I saw that I was going to run into was not having enough time, but better safe than sorry. You have to go in the fight taking a ton of considerations.
Certain battles are somewhat off-set due to race factors. How a Galka will beat him, won't be the same as to how an Elvaan, Hume, Mithra or Taru will. Equipments, they somewhat play into effect as well. If you wanna go all out on attack, better make sure you're covered in a lot of ways. Things like -Eva, -Def. Remember, Maat isn't just your class, he's also a MNK. 1 Asuran fist with like low DEF will kill you. Money, that's always important. Don't do things half assed. Having not enough Hi-pots, or not having a Vile Elixir/+1, or just bringing what you think is enough, can make it or break it for you. More is good, less is bad. Also, biggest thing, have fun. I was very nervous going in the fight, but once I got in and started hacking away at him, all of it, went away ^ ^. Just think of all that crap he made you do lol.
That's it. Go in there, and beat his ass. If you can't, don't get depressed. There's always the next time. And remember you're going in there with the notion of beating him, not beating the clock. Beating the clock is something extra, getting to 75 is the goal.

Hume: 70 Paladin/35 Warrior (taken out due to fight)
Weapon Main:Espadon +1
Sub:General's Shield
Range:Rosenbogen
Ammo:None
Head:Gallant Coronet
Earring1:Titanis Earring
Earring2
igeon Earring
Neck:Royal Guard Collar
Hands:Gallant Gauntlets
Body:Gallant Surcoat
Ring1:Hercules' Ring
Ring2:Jelly Ring
Back:Knightly Mantle
Waist:Life belt
Legs:Gallant Breeches
Feet:Gallant Leggings
And the things I brought with me:
10 Hi-Potions (used em all)
4 Sleeping Potions (used em all)
Opo-opo necklace (always a must)
Vile Elixir +1 (never used it)
Mith kabob (had too)
Persikos Au-lait (very good)
2 Yagudo drinks (used just 1)
Bought spells: Protect IV and Shell III. I dunno if they helped, but it's good to have it, so buy it.
Total Time : 8minutes, 47Seconds. Record is 7minutes and 41seconds.
I would also like to thank every high level PLD in this forum. You guys are what I would say, the biggest influence I have in this game. Thank you. Now, I can get to the Gods HAHA WOOOT.
