Re: What level should I be before tanking GODS?

Getting back to the level question it really depends on how many Paladins your LS has and what level they are. If you've got 3 or 4 75PLDs then don't expect to do much except get swapped in for 300TP Spirit's Within and backup heal (those are very important jobs anyways, Paladin's should always be ready to step in as a backup healer when there are lots of them).

I started tanking Gods at 70 since my LS only had three Paladin's at the time (two other 75s, one who is amazing and the other who is totally worthless) but Byakko would one-shot me with Tripple Attack - not with Koenig and three more levels it only takes me down just over 1000 HP XD

Bottom line is do what helps your LS the most. Be ready to step in and get one-shotted or sit on the sidelines and backup heal if there are lots of other Paladins in the God crew; and above all have fun, God runs are some of the best times a Paladin can have ^_^

Oh man >.< I remember how badly Byakko would tear me a new one at a lower level. Of course, it didn't help that I would never get AA before I'd grab hate with my Spirits Within(swapped in to replace dead tank). Seiryu was my first successful tanking of a god (Genbu doesn't count as a god in our HNM LS. He's a joke).

Get some prectice tanking with your LS on the pop item NMs. You'll learn how to work with your LS members, and the tactics your LS use. If you've got the skill, and so does your LS, then you shouldn't have too much trouble tanking below the suggested 73-75.

I really can't wait. I'm a few level's back and I'm excited being finally a tank these guys. Well, guess I have to see how much I can swap on certain areas. I'm still concerned as too what I should buy and stuff. Cause again like I said everyone I know (even in my LS) is telling me Adaman. I dunno why, but that's what they're telling me. I'm probably the 5th highest PLD in my LS so I'm not really concerned on tanking til I hit 73. So til then I can ask around some more and probably experiment on a lot of things. I wasn't really too fond of spending 3,000,000 on a full set that's very situational. But then again who knows. I saw a PLD tank that had AF body, Legs and boots but was wearing Koenig helm and boots. So I dunno. I'll prolly ask him what he thinks.

The best thing to do Ikari, is just to experiment yourself. Try the armour, and see which you like best.

I tried Sword and Shield for a bit on Byakko and Suzaku. I didn't take too much more per hit, but I couldn't notice if I was blocking much. I don't think my shield skill is at a comfortable level yet for me to use.
