paladin end game

i'm thinking about going back to pld. i was wondering how often pld's are used for hnm tanking and such and what there end game is like these days. i know when everyone started using nin, it really hurt pld (one of the reasons i quit pld so long ago...seeking...seeking...no invites...). but lately it seems like a lot of people are starting to like pld's again, but i still here a lot of hnm's need to be blink tanked, so i was wondering whats the pld end game like these days?

Paladin, Ninja, Warrior are all needed endgame.

There will be times when you will take the limelight and tank. The 4 main Gods for example are best tanked with Paladins, although they can be done with Ninjas as well.

Sometimes there will be times you will be asked to step aside for Ninjas. That's fine, variety is a good thing. Learn to step out of the limelight when the situation calls for it.

We are very much needed endgame, don't worry one bit about it. Dynamis, HNM tanking, BCNM, you name it.

Paladins are definately needed for end game.
The general way of things is that Paladins can hold hate a lot better than Ninjas so for some HNM or Gods it is really useful to have PLD tanks. There are also some HNM when the tactics used are keeping Garuda Blink on the PLDs at all times so they basically become Blink Tanks but with the added bonus of better hate-keeping.
But it would be selfish to say Ninjas are not needed. There are times when NINs are a lot more effective than PLDs.

HNM LS will want a mixture of PLD and NIN tanks and depending on the situation one of the 2 will be favoured.

Keep in mind that you cannot say anything for definate. You couldn't say something like "Okay, NIN will tank this HNM." and that's the end of the story. If the NINs drop to the floor then it will be your turn to maintain hate while the NINs are recovering.
So it is really all a big balance of the two.
