The animation is....well...umm, it doesnt suck. The small fusion at the end looks neat, but for all that work and trouble to get the WS you expect something way better.

Yeah I'm going for an Excalibur and seeing if I burn out doing it. Takes patience, support, and the willingness to make your gil.

I plan on taking Ninja to at least 60 and Possibly Paladin and Ranger to 70+ as I'm not planning to leave for WoW.

At most people seem to only have the 2nd upgrade the Dynamis Sword. On my server I have never seen any weapon past the 2nd. The reason seems to be is that it costs far more currency then the first 2 upgrades and you need 3 rare ex items which are droped from Dynamis-Beaucidine and Dynamis-Xarcabard, a fragment, asserttion and indulgence. Not sure on the exact names, but they are a rare drop.

I think its because many Dynamis linkshells go to Dynamis-Beaucidine for 2 reasons

                1) Complete the zone to get more people to Dynamis-Xarcabard.
                2) Farm AF2 drops

The path that you have to take to pop the attestenation droppers is a difficult road as you apparently have to kill all 4 statues then backtrack to the Shadows in the NW area to kill the Vangaurd Eye for the NM pops, then race back down. Its a tricky proccess even with a very good lineup of people.

what do you use to watch the video, I couldnt see it, only volume. But I still think The Gluttony Sword looks way better than it.

this sword is near impossible to get.

most ppl get burned out after the 2nd upgrade, b/c the 3rd upgrade+ kills most ppl.

its the best sword in the game yes, but unless your truly willing to go all the way, i would suggest to you to just forget about it or u will just have a couple of millions wasted in the 1st and 2nd upgrade.

Attestations is the hardest part to upgrading, and even then you need more currency.

1st > 2nd stage of most relic weapons requires about 3-4 of 1 type of "100" currency. 2nd > 3rd stage takes about 14 of another type of "100" currency. 3rd > 4th stage takes an Attestation (hard to get) and around 50 of another type of "100" currency.

Finally 4 > 5 stage is even more insane, as it requires a fragment for the particular weapon (this is fairly easy.. easier than attestations) but needs an absurd number of currency. This absurd amount is gotten by killing Dynamis Lord probably more than a couple times for his "10,000" version of currency.

So far I only know of 10,000 byne bills.. but there could probably Goldcoins for Sandoria and some other type of shell for windurst.

A single 100 version currency costs around 500-700k gil (at least on midgard).

Also getting 100 version currency in Dynamis runs is quite rare, as everyone become very happy if even 1 drops. So spend a lot of time and money doing dynamis with a dynamis shell that absolutely loves you and spend a ton of gil buying currency.

Does anyone have any good true information about Knights of Round? I recently upgraded to Caliburn after shoving 61 jadeshells into the goblins shnoz. Its damage in Dyn-Xarca wasn't a decent test for the weapon considering their high defense.

I read a post a few weeks back about testing Knights of the Round with a Caliburn in Dynamis-Sandy.

It said that the hidden effect was Regen, and that the amount of TP you have affects the length of the hidden effect, which activates at the time of the weapon skill.

The weapon skill is a 1 hit attack. I think it said that double attack can occur with it though. (It was a PLD test)

They tried a number of things to boost the attack but the results varied a lot. They tried eating sushi to boost accuracy. They tried raising and lowering HP but came up inconclusive. They tried TP300 Berserk Warcry HP Max, but couldn't figure out what modifies the damage. However normal damage was also strange. Without 100% TP, sometimes the sword would hit for as much as 485. (Add effect, I assume). The damage averaged around 280. (I dunno if this is all hits or just WS).

Swift Blade with Caliburn came up around 200 damage at 100% TP.

As to the attribute of the WS:

After Fragmentation effect, KoR made light.
After KoR, Asuran Fists made Gravitation.
After Heavy Shot, KoR made nothing.
After Asuran Fists, KoR made nothing.
After Blade Ku, KoR made nothing

Spin Slash to Heavy Shot, light, KoR after makes a second light.

So they concluded it's possibly a Fusion weapon skill.

Hope this helps, but they couldn't figure out the damage modifier as well.

My assumption is that this weapon is not so much for the weaponskill as it is for the add damage from regular attacks (and I hope I haven't misread their post, because I don't remember if Caliburn has the add effect of Excalibur >.>).
                              orz.

That sucks. So to this day, we still have yet to fully know what is up with that WS.
