  • PLD Quest, Davoi Route Map

Wanted to give you guys a map I made that showed how to get to the well in davoi:

I would suggest buying the davoi map. Its one of the npcs standing next to the fountain in North Sandy. Forgot the name.

Also remember that when either casting sneak/invis or using sneak oil / prism powder, you must apply sneak first, then invis second. If you do invis first, and then sneak, the sneak effect will cancel your invis.

Also remember that the jelly at the well only aggros to sound, so even though you have to drop invis to get the key item, DO NOT drop sneak!

Another tip is that if you are superparanoid about dying, you CAN do the run and get the item as ANY job at ANY level, but only once you have received and accepted the final quest already. I ran through davoi as a lvl 1 thf and got key item and finished quest. That way once you get the keyitem, you can deathwarp back to town without worrying about losing xp.

The blue route is the one I took. Some other people tell me there is alternate route which is in red. The green circle is the well.

The red route is fastest. That's the route I took. There's a drop off of a broken bridge into the river. Going that route, I only needed 2 silent oils and 2 prism powders.

Unfortunately, I took the blue route along with a friend of mine. But luckyly, we had a level 45 WHM to guide us and Sneak+Invisible us throughout the way. I'm still indebted to him still today. The red route would be convenient for any who have a limited supply of Silent Oils and Prism Powders. The Pugils, I think, aggro to sound and the Orcs to sight, I believe. And the Jelly at the Knight's Well aggroes to sound. Once you are done, head back to Balasiel for a Kite Shield and your tanking job, Paladin.

Good thing I did this when I hit level 30. I've always loved Paladins simply because of your talks. Thanks all for your indirect support. Now my new goal is to acquire all Adaman Armor like Whren has.

I also could've used this last week  I ended up taking a route similar to the red route, except I went straight after dropping down instead of turning left. I only needed 1 sneak and 1 invis because I just used a warp scroll once I got the item.
