    I'm just tired of people coming up with all these stupid "omg I'm so going to Pwn you!" Posts digital ^^. No-one knows anything about how it's going to work, and they're already talking trash and explaining how they're going to kill you.

      I understand what you meant, I'm tired of them, too. But I suppose putting your ideas out on a forum like this is a good way to get feedback. I just found it funny that you tell people not to say other's ideas suck, and your following line is exactly what you are against. Oh well, patch is soon. Guess we'll finally get to see how it turns out.

        Can't say I enjoy all the "I will pwnzz0rx j00" crapola either.

        But it is interesting to speculate how certain classes might line up against each other, and what subs might be more useful in PvP.

        From the look of things, these PvP events are not something that will persist indefinitely; while some who have leveled all their jobs to at least 37 in support of their Lv. 75 mains have more flexibility to adapt their PvP template for maximum effectiveness, I suspect that goal for each event will involve different adjustments to those templates.

        For the sake of Ballista, you might want your "ball carrier" to have uber DEF with maxed tanking ability, with a contingent of attackers moving with him to quickly target and take down opposing mages.

        Or use a strategy:

        WHM invisibles himself as the ball carrier; PLD and BLMs form up at a short (beyond *ga spell) range from ball carrier - they lock on the defenders of the rook, WHM throws his stone, PLD throws cover on WHM, BLMs mount counterattack on the defenders.

        Variations: WHMs are needed more for healing, so he invisibles a NIN or PLD as the ball carrier. Same idea as before.

        These ideas might be totally out to lunch - but again, it's fun to speculate.

          to the anti PvP discussion people... if you don't like it... don't read it... BUT I am not pro PvP either I actually dislike PvP... I am just posting info I have as someone who has lots of subs to test when solo... so try not to bash on me.

          To the RDM guy who says PLD/RDM would suck.... your not a PLD... you are an RDM.

          I AM A PLD... and I have a RDM sub availible to me.

          Therefore... I have knowledge that you don't have access to.

          I could sit here and bore you with simple math regarding DEF and VIT when taking hits... and how damage shields such as blaze spikes increase in effciency when you take less damage per hit... but i would be wasting my time because obviously you don't grasp that and just like to flame people without having knowledge to back it up.

          So to the cool PLDs in the thread.

          RDM/WHM hit by DRK = 160 dmg and returns 7 dmg.
          PLD/RDM hit by DRK = 80 dmg and returns 7 dmg.

          PLD/RDM returns twice as much dmg from blaze spikes before dying than the RDM/WHM as a result of massive defensive abilities. This is why it is good.

          ***However *** I am not saying it will kill an RDM I am just saying PLD/RDM is an option for us. It might kill an RDM.. it might not... I just know it is good solo... and why it is good. I know it is my favorite "raw power" solo combo. Questing and farming and grouping combos are different. I think PvP will require raw power... not warp... not treasure hunter.. not teleports.

          If Provoke works in PvP... WAR is still awesome.
          If Sneak and Invis are viable tactics in PvP then WHM is good also.

          P.S. RDM dude... if you think RDM is more powerful than PLD in PvP... we don't care... we are PLDs... we are not RDMs we might have RDM as sub... but we are still PLD. I think most of us will not want to switch main jobs just because of PvP. So if that is the point you are just DYING to make... just keep in mind.. when you say it... we won't care.
