Koenig amor doubt...

Now i guess most of you know the Koeing amor set. So most of you know that while it gives you a lot of +VIT and +CHR it also has a heavy penalty on DEX and STR.

So my question is this:
With all that -DEX and -STR what should i equip for earrings and rings?

I know i'll have to wear a peacock charm and a life belt. Should i get an assault earring?

Do i change those +VIT rings for +DEX ones?

Do i keep my republican mantel?

Or is Koenig not what its cracked up to be?

What are you guys doing?

You're a level 20 War right? I think you got some time to decide. It isn't as easy to get as you think.

Its nearly impossible... only the most hardcore of the hardcores get it....

and that set has only 1 use to tell you the truth....HNM hunting.... you need all that VIT, and frankly the STR and DEX penalty wont hurt at all since you wont hit them anyways regardless of your DEX or STR. and another thing to take into consideration is that in a HNM match you will probably be using Earth Staff so hittng is not your priority.

Now for EXP PTs AF is still the best imo... maybe Valor set... but those are extremelly hard to come by.

Just to let you know unless you have an Aeigishjalmr (helmet +7 Emnity) you can't use the rest of the set to tank HNM because you will not hold hate. Paladin AF is still the best thing for tanking HNM's.

get the aegish, earth staff, guardian ring, jelly ring (-35% dmg!!) and the rest AF and you're all set to tank HNMs.... you might even take less dmg then someone in FULL koenigs.

use a couple pieces of koenigs as well and damn, you're indestructable! heh

jelly ring got side effects -> Magic damage taken+5%
so its so bad for some HNMs(king behemoth and others). and i like the legs piece of koenig mostly.

Yea its a long way to the 70 but anyhow i just realized i got 0 in crafting. So i decided to work on guilds that would be of use later on and i got some friends that like to trhow stuff out so i need to know what i need. Its good to know that Koenig aint that good, though i did think that with it i would not need an Earth(or Terra) staff with it.

Though i got 2 more q's (bare with me):

1.- When it says i need goldsmith and alchemy i know its 100 skill at goldsmsith, but hou much on alchemy? the same?

2.-Would you consider Koening more suited for a Tanking WAR? Though i doubt WARs can tank HNM.

a little note, i've seen one person on gilgamesh with more koenig than just a shield...one person thats it. a lvl 75war/nin.

another note, i think its funny how people plan for maxing their characters lvl and then doing all these insanely hard quests. these people dont realize that throughout the entire game, the exp you get per fight never goes up and that fights last longer at higher lvls. granted you have basically 0 downtime with brd's and rdm's, but still.

honestly, once i hit 60, i'm going to finish my AF and start playing other jobs and only lvl'ing pld once in a while. honestly when i saw 10000 exp tnl i got a little disheartened and then to see it just jumps up and up really quickly....sigh...

well, as a WAR (which I assume you are being for life) you always have to have two sets of gear, one for tanking and one for dmg dealing. I view this one as the perfect tanking set for WAR, and thick set the most practical dmg dealing one (for the sakes of not having to get full adamen AND koening ><)...

My LS leader has been playing the jp version for some time, has 4 jobs in full AF and 2 are maxed atm. He doesn't have a single piece of uncursed armor and told me that for most players it will never be an option including himself.
