well i was wondering i was thinking of being a dark knight ninja so that i would have the strength of the dark knight and the speed of the ninja i also love the idea of dual wield so my question being what kind of damage will i be lookin at with dark knight ninja with 2 weapons? any well thought out answers would be greatly appreciated.

well, first off you won't be able to use weapon bash, wince you are going to have 2, 1 handed sword.

A DRK is really meant to be used with a 2hd sword, or Scythe...

yes i am quite aware of this but what i am wondering is the difference in attack power when using two one handed swords than using a 2 handed sword i am trying to find a suitable 2nd job but it seems that all the advanced jobs are primaraly used for your main job and it seems that they expect you to use the non advanced jobs as secondary which to me seems like bull shat so i was wanting proof as in a 2 handed sword at lvl 10 does this much damage and 2 one handed at lvl ten do this much damage

I was wondering the same thing, and when I asked about being a DRK/NIN, people told me it was crapy and I should just use a 2H sword or scythe. Read what they said on my Dual Wielding post in the Dark Knight forum. Anyways, It'd be nice if people told us why being a DRK/NIN and using two 1h swords is a lot worse than using a 2h weapon. All I've been told is the damage is lower.

From what I've heard, dark knights are supposed to use scythes for maximum damage output. Guillotine is supposedly very nasty. I do think, however, that drk/nin might have merit, if the level 12 blink ninjitsu is worth using at higher levels. I have heard that a lot of dark knights have problems dealing with aggro(they have low defense). Being able to use Blink in an instant would certainly solve that problem, at the cost of a lot of cash.
