BSNM 40 Royal Jellys is good for melee jobs if you can find a rdm to go with you, plus you can get an archers ring from this on too.

Hey you job-ist, WHM/BLM can do it too. Gravity may be nice, but Bind is what's essential. After that all that matters is that the DDs are fast enough.

Anyhow, I've been in at least a dozen Royal Jelly runs, and never seen Ni drop. I got the Archer's Ring once on a run that was my orb, though.

Anyway, I bought mine off AH. I don't know how you could make enough for it as a 60 DRK honestly.

Any job with access to sneak can fish quite comfortably at 20+. It shouldn't be that hard to make 500k from fishing. I made something like 300k from getting fishing to 20 alone. I probably would have made more if I had alchemy levelled instead of just cooking.

BSNM 40 Under observation is supposed to be good too but DRKs would have a hard time on this cause theres only a few jobs welcome to do it blm and nin really. That drops it and you could get a Peacock Charm too, thats a cool 1.7 mil on bismark atm.

If i ever go hunting a Ni scroll I'd opt for that because of the PCC. Well I need the PCC for my COR but still getting your Ni scroll and possibally making an extra 1.7mil from the run is nothing to snub.

Royal Jelly is where I got mine. That one seems to be the most forgiving to mix of jobs as long as you have a rdm (grav+bind), whm (bind+haste), or sch (bindga) for crowd control and back-up healing.

As for farming, if nothing else, Tiger Fangs in the Glacier then turning them in for the San d'Oria quest nets me a mindless 10k an hour. Yes, that could be a lot of farming, but considering it's going to be a spell you use on many jobs?

I got a few from RJ but they got sold to fund RDM, fortunately I managed to farm and scrape the gil together to buy it when NIN hit 40

Royal Jelly is almost impossible to fail and the droprate on Ni isn't fantastic but if you have the seals for a few goes you should manage it.

If your server has the market for it and you are willing to put some up front investment in it strange apparatus is profitable over time. I don't do it anymore but if you have no other good options its worth looking into. Also if your only level 60 and cant farm up a ustu:ni scroll not sure why your worrying about it now, poor ninjas past 37 make me sad.

Acquiring the scroll for my avatar was fairly easy. Simply enough the linkshell got together, forming different groups with different classes and setups. Multiple attempts back to back, our team managed to squeeze one of the scrolls out of 10 attempts. It may have been because I was in charge of the LS, and the BCNM runs that they wanted me to use the first one for myself. We wound up just selling it however and splitting the gil as evenly as possible between the three of us whom participated. So really, the true way I obtained the scroll was through purchase over the AH.

Bought mine off AH... but... there's more.

I was solo'n RDM (a job I never level) out in La Theine Plateau (a place I never level) and was /checked by a RDM on a chocobo. So I /wave'd back and did a dance (at the time, a thing I never did w/ strangers). 5min later I got a /tell from him asking how much gil I had and I said (which was true) I was just about to get my first 100k. I was suspicious, but right after he says, "Want my gil... I'm leaving this game right now"

Quick run to the Valkurm Zone area and I was richer than I'd ever been before... It was enough to buy Ni and a few other odds and ends... so that is how I got Ni. Bestest NM I ever encountered and I beat them with a /wave and a /dance.

Luck was really with me that day cuz Vaky went fire weather right after he disappeared and that was the last element I needed for completing the SMN job quest.

Honestly luck just wasn't on my side with this scroll. I must have gone to 15 runs of Under Observation. Every run was YOYD and when it came my time... I just never got lucky. I did however get a PCC on one of the 15 runs... but that was the only notable thing I got out of 15. Meanwhile I saw almost 10 of them drop for other people.

I know some of you are saying "wth man... stop complaining... you got a PCC!!!". To you I have only one thing to say... do the math.

600 seals (3 years worth) + 12 hours of my life I can never get back = ~2 mil profit

Yeah. I used 350k of that 1.8 to buy my scroll.

I think I would have been better off in the long run doing Treasures and Tribulations. At least I could have done that solo.

Haha... yeah. I was happy. I won't deny that... but when the only jobs you have are mage jobs... it was... well... useless, lol.

If I remember correctly, sold it within the first 45 minutes to a LS mate who had been camping the Rare/ex version for the past week. I don't even think I charged him full price now that I think of it. I'm pretty sure I let it go for 1.4mil. As far as I was concerned it was a good day and a welcome relief. I used the money to buy myself a Scroll of Utsusimi: NI, a few stacks of each of the tools and I think I used the rest to buy myself a Hedgehog Bomb for my SMN. I can't remember exactly... but I know I was a happy camper. It was only later on when I actually thought about how many seals I used to get only a PCC in return.

That is the part that made me a saaaaaaaaaad panda.

Friend of mine quit before he ever got his NIN sub done and left his scroll to me along with an Enfeebling Earring, good god were the two of those worth a lot at the time too, lol. Still have the earring, obviously popped the scroll.

I got it in Royal Jelly. Honestly that's the one BCNM where I'll average out well in the end. Did 3 runs once on my Galka since he had a ton of seals and I wanted to use them up before I abandoned him for me Hume, 2 of the drops were Ni, so my new character leveled into 37NIN with a Ni scroll already in hand. Did it a few more times on my regular character and I've gotten I believe 2 Ni and 2 Archer Rings from it, been awhile since I've last done it tbh.
