Is there a way to cancel a buff?

I have been wanting to figure out a macro to cancel my shadows to apply Ichi. I noticed if you cancel your shadow at 80ish% Ichi has already been applied and won't take effect since it can't overwrite Ni. I have been canceling my shadows around 50% this way if I evade or parry an attack when attempting to anticipate when my shadows will fade do to having my last shadow absorbed, I either have to cancel my cast and won't be able to recast it for a few seconds due to interruption or waste my cast and remain without shadows till Ni is back up again.

it would be something like this:

    /ma "Utsusemi: Ichi" <me>
    /wait 2
/cancelaura "shadows" <me> (example command I am trying to find)

Tanking has not been a problem for me, I just thought it would be handy. Depending on who's in my party, casting Ichi can be hard at times and results in me taking tons of damage. Mainly due to BRD or DNC casting effects. Don't get me wrong I love my BRD's and DNC's

There is not a macro command or a text command of any kind to remove a buff. You have to do that manually.

Not really much to do other than remove it manually. Make sure you only have 1 shadow left and you'll want to time it so that you cast right before the mob attacks you. This will give you ample time to know whether or not to cancel your shadow. If you do it right, you'll be able to cancel your shadow below 50% or so.

Doh! Alright thanks for the help guys. Yea thats pretty much how I'm doing it now Mog, I was hoping there would be some kinda macro that I could hit instead of canceling it myself and hope I don't cancel another beneficial buff
