Yea, my cousins have access to my account aswell. So usually there is always someone on my character playing. They help out alot especially with the equipment. Their family so I not worried.

Welcome to the forums ^^ As others might tell you the best advice to tell you is the search button is in the top right hand corner and you can always look at the most recent posts. ^^

            Re: Hello

Just make sure that everyone's computers are secure and you guys all keep in touch about what you're doing. More people playing the same account means more points of weakness by which to hack the account (which has been a major problem as of late) and more difficulty detecting that something is amiss. -- Pteryx

              Re: Hello

Yeah, you'll want to have an antivirus and threat-detection software of some sort. I recommend ClamWin as an AV for ideological reasons. Others will have some recommendations of their own. SpyBot S&D seems to be considered a must-have as well. Also, you can have your system scanned by Housecall, a web applet provided by a security software vendor. A combination of these approaches is the best bet for detecting threats already on your system, and the Immunize function in SpyBot S&D helps prevent some of them from occurring as well. Also, check out this thread for info on making your web browsing safer, it has an external link to a useful guide on the subject: http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/gen...s-warning.html

Thank you for all the responses. In concern with viruses and such, should I be worried since we all play on the xbox 360? I really don't go on my computer. For PC, yes I would think they would need the extra security.

                  Re: Hello

While there have been security issues with the 360 version in the past, there's a lot less that you can actively do to address any such issues. Your main concern here will be making sure you use a strong password, and that you change it to another strong password if you believe it's been compromised.

A strong password should be at least 8 characters long (this has now become the required minimum for POL accounts), should not be excessively long (while short passwords are more susceptible to brute force attacks, long passwords are potentially more susceptible to cryptanalysis), should not be based on dictionary words or obvious personal details.
