Also we don't get picked to main heal because of refresh, we getpicked because of convert. We have the largest MP pool in the game and if your smart with it you will never run out. Which is why RDM main heal in meripo is the number 1 choice, we make it possible to run chains to 150+.

Nice, but I don't think it's exclusively the domain of RDM ... as a WHM, my PT ended up at chain 100+, and only stopped because a couple of us lost chain due to R0 or something odd like that...

What's the complaint again...? I thought for a minute it was about /nin, but then it was about rdm, though I'm gonna focus on the /nin complaint.

Whatever server it is you play on Mr. or Miss Original Poster, and whatever ls you're in mainly, and whatever friends you have that are supposedly all telling you that /nin for everything is the way to go, you need to just stop listening. Or jump servers. If that's the only advice about subjobs any of those people can give, then yes, as it's been pointed out, they are morons.

Many jobs, especially in higher levels, will sub nin for various reasons, many, if not all, have been listed by other posters (wewt for comma abuse~!). But it doesn't mean that you specifically have to sub them for jobs that don't necessarily require /nin in a party situation or even in a solo situation, especially if you enjoy eating pixel dirt. But that's your choice.

As far as you saying people are telling you what to sub for certain jobs when you lfp, its the party leader's choice to ask for certain subjobs as to keep the party and exp flowing smoothly and at a pace they've set. You don't have to accept party invites if you're unwilling to sub what's requested, but at the same time, you can't begrudge them for asking for that specific subjob and them sending you back a "nvm" when you kindly tell them that you do not wish to bring that job or that you don't have it leveled or opened.

quick questions:

1)I was always under the impression that as a DD if your tank loses aggro they are doing something wrong. True or false?

2)I am both poor in game and to lazy to farm. As you can see from my sig I have thf to 30 and I just started BLU,which is currently at 10, I really don't want to level NIN, ever. Will this cost me alot of exp parties later on, and if so at what level will this begin?

3)If I -HAVE- to level NIN [sigh] at what level should I stop leveling BLU and start leveling NIN to 37 (might as well straight shot it).

Quicky side question for a newbie:

4)I know SCH makes spells AoE from BLMs and RDMs and WHMs but does it do some BLU spells too? Juuuuust curious ;D

Absolutely, 100% false. Enmity is a party job. It is incredibly easy for most mages and some melees to pull enmity if they're reckless. There's also the matter of things like Trick Attack, DRG jumps, and so on which should be used to assist the tank. If your tank is losing enmity it's quite possible that it's your fault, or even probable.

2, just level NIN. it's a lot cheaper than the impression people give, as long as you do the scroll quests yourself. Ninja tools are a burn, but you shouldn't be using them very much anyway. You're going to want to or have to do it sooner or later, you might as well get it out of the way as soon as you can that way you can take advantage of it, both in parties (where people will probably ask you to use /NIN whether you need it or not), and in missions (sometimes setups that are awful in EXP parties are awesome in BCNMs and such. RDM/NIN with daggers against those crab things, for example)

Bluecat I am disapointed to here your hate for such a minimal issue with RDM. Want to know a super easy solution to your problem.

Really you will main heal for 27 levels. 14-41 when you get refresh you have 27 levels where you will most likely be refreshing a WHM. from 68-75 you will be main healing again.

At 75 you will be able to frontline and main heal as RDM/DNC (for times when you need erase) or RDM/BLU (if status ailments don't require the use of -na or erase). I wont go into it to much, except I will say it takes gear, and skill. It adds a nice little flavor to the job.
