Yep, exactly my point. Rdm's cure 2 curing for more than a whm's cure 3 and playing for 3 years starting in 2002 but still not understanding the dynamics of a MMO.....*sniffsniff* I think perhaps I smell something...

Bluecat, I am rather doubtfull that you played during 2002 since that means that you would be playing the Japanese Beta of this game. Based on your spelling, and the fact you aren't out of highschool yet, trying to finish a GED, I find it highly doubtfull that you are or were fluent enough in Japanese to install and play the game during Beta phase.

I'll acknowledge that each person has a certain ability for learning a language, you may be one of the few people I know who found Japanese to be easy, however I'll point out that they all had better spelling as well. In general I'd say that there is a correlation to innate better spelling and ability to learn languages.

I might be able to see a Cure II outcuring a Cure III if said Whm did Campaign/Campaign Ops to level, and had no healing skill, otherwise that should be impossible.

Can you please be a little more selective with the bolded text? The shouting is a tad bit annoying and inappropriate in most of the cases you use it in.

I am not going to sit here and be like...HEAL....HEAL...HEAL just because they want a damn healer, find a fricken WHM. If not just wait!

Simply because if I can't find a Whm, but there are plenty of Rdm LFG, then I will invite a Rdm for healing, I'm not going to wait and hold up 4 other people in my party hoping against hope that a Whm logs in. That is wasting my time and the time of the other people in my party.

My list of healer preference goes Whm > Rdm > Smn > Blm

I will typically ask a Smn to main heal if I have to, and apologize to them for making them main heal because I couldn't find a Whm or Rdm. I still view Smn main healing as outside their job description because they have no curing spells outside of Summons.

Rdm however? You are a combination of Whm and Blm, healing is well within your job description. A lvl 25 Rdm who refuses to main heal is like a lvl 25 War who refuses to tank, you are not playing your job to the fullest and frankly are useless to me and my party.

If the party needs you to main heal, you either main heal or decline the party offer. It goes without saying that anyone with /whm, or /rdm backup cures as needed, and that anyone, Whm, Smn, Blm, Rdm, Blu, heals as needed.

Do not build up a bad reputation as a player, and as an unskilled Rdm, on your server if you plan on getting anywhere in this game.

It's pretty easy to switch your OS to unicode and acquire illegal copies/keys for games. It's entirely possible that Bluecat played in 2002, but not very likely. I'd have been worried about communicating in moon. D:

PS2 version was released in JP on May 12, 2002 and on PC in Nov 7, 2002

the retail FFXI was in JP roughly a year before we go it, so yes Blue might have played retail back then, but yeah not sure ;p

even if that is so, the game has changed alot since then and gone through MANY changes and evolutions in terms of the jobs, so all her grips are not even warented, since this is how people play these jobs normally.

If he/she had played for 3 years starting with the JP's they would NOT have the current attitude they have. They would also have more knowledge about the game. I understand being passionate about a point you're trying to make but fabricating stuff just makes people laugh and dismiss you.

Bluecat I am disapointed to here your hate for such a minimal issue with RDM. Want to know a super easy solution to your problem.

Really you will main heal for 27 levels. 14-41 when you get refresh you have 27 levels where you will most likely be refreshing a WHM. from 68-75 you will be main healing again.

At 75 you will be able to frontline and main heal as RDM/DNC (for times when you need erase) or RDM/BLU (if status ailments don't require the use of -na or erase). I wont go into it to much, except I will say it takes gear, and skill. It adds a nice little flavor to the job.

Also we don't get picked to main heal because of refresh, we getpicked because of convert. We have the largest MP pool in the game and if your smart with it you will never run out. Which is why RDM main heal in meripo is the number 1 choice, we make it possible to run chains to 150+.

Illegal keys are basically impossible, since POL would pick up on them easily. You'd be banned eventually, even if they did work. Not to mention the fact that years later FFXI doesn't have them, so we wouldn't have had them in 2002.

Then I guess my brother in law plays in Bizarro world? It's not unheard of to acquire legit codes in un-legit ways.
