  • What's for Dinner?

I need food advice for my Ninja. I am currently using Dorado Sushi. I was
thinking of switching to Sole. I was wondering at what point this would be
a good idea. I had read that around level 60 the Ninja becomes a better DD.
I am level 57 and here is my current set up:

    Head: Emporer Hairpin
    Hands: O.Kotes
    Body: Scorpion Harness
    Legs: Ninja AF
    Feet: Ninja AF
    Earrings: Eris x2
    Rings: Sattva + Venerer
    Weapon: Sai
    Sub: Yoto+1
    Ranged: n/a
    Ammo: Balithorn
    Waist: Lifebelt or Survival Belt
    Back: High Breath Mantle
Neck: Spirit Torque or R.G. Collar

The Dorado works well with my set up, +15 or so enmity is nice. However I think
that maybe doing more damage with Sole Sushi would be even better than the +3
enmity from the Dorado. Or should I be using a different food altogether?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (gear advice is also welcome )

Seems like a pretty good set-up to me. Past 60, I stopped worrying so much on Enmity, and put more into Crit+, and overall damage, with some extra evasion here and there. Probably you're going to wanna switch out some of the enmity gear for STR and DEX gear, along with some +Attack gear, and you'll want to use Sole Sushi for even more damage, which can balance out the enmity for holding hate.

Then you're pretty much set, or at least that's what I do

      i would do the following:
      get Fume Kyahan 3% Haste
get Swift belt 4% haste 4acc and 4eva (i think)
      wear AF Body @58
      and eat Sole sushi +1

if you are hasted that makes 21% haste with those items, you sacrefice some accuracy but with sushi +1 you should stil be able to hit constant.
haste is what its all about and eating Sole will let you put out some nice jins at 60
      and some nice Chi's.
that setup does not work for everyone but it worked fine for me, even better with a bard that gives you and additionel march.

        Re: What's for Dinner?

thanks for the replies. I am 59 now, and using Sole Sushi. I wasn't planning on trying
to go with a haste set up until 70+. The drop rate on the swift belt seems pretty bad.
I am getting my AF body tonight hopefully and I have a borrowed Hauby, but I just
can't get a party to fight VT's, so I feel I need the evasion from the SH.

I suppose I will start thinking more offensively for my gear set up

        Thanks again.

if you kill the hume fomor the drop rate is like 60%.
and that item is really worth it.
you could also merrit evasion 2-3 times and have the same effect as wearing a SH.
Hauby i would only macro in for JIN.

Hmmm. My LS just did a run, that I could not attend and they went 2/7 on the belt
I think. I don't know if they fought the hume everytime, but I think that is the one
              they were trying for.

                Re: What's for Dinner?

I did a run last weekend with my LS, we went 5/8. Unfortunately I was one of the three who did not get a swift belt.

We mixed it up though, Did the Elvaan, Hume and umm the Taru, which went badly. The Taru had a Dark Elemental out and at like 40% HP summoned Fenrir and got off Astral Flow. Stay away from the Taru.
