  • Hamlet's further adventures as a noob nin

    After a pretty good pt in yhoater, I mijined a nearby white lizard. Then he started attacking the mnk in the pt. Apparently mijining a mob near the pt will give the whole pt agro, even if it's a non-agro mob. You probably already knew this but I didn't .

    The mnk ended up dying, even with a blm plvl fighting it (he was probably low on mp) and I felt bad ; ;

          xD

          I didn't know that.

          But I never mijin near my PT before.

          my PT almost wipe once in korroloka against the fish. a few were alive and went to change their job for raise. Came back as high lvl mnk/whm. 4 of us got raised and were resting in /heal position when the mnk attacked a fish there.
          Now here's the funny thing... 2 other fish linked. And they didn't attack the monk but instead attacked the people that were sitting. So, all 4 of us that just got raised all died again @@;

            yeah, the new claim system is weird... I just got on for the first time since they added it and A party member had a lizard and it linked to two others... she died, and well they went after us next o.o It confused me so.

              If at least one person attacks the linked mobs, unfortunately, there's no way to get rid of them until you either zone or the entire party gets killed. >.<

                Certains monsters hold grudges, and lizards are one of them. Even if one member attacks one of them once and zones it, it's going to come back and wreak havoc on anybody in the party who hasn't yet zoned. It's quite a nice way to ruin a party.

                I also realized the other day that Goblin Diggers don't depop if you zone them. Selbina was a little shook up yesterday when everybody who thought they were safe to go AFK at the entrance came back and found themselves dead.

                  Huh. I've never heard of this. None of the reference sites show the Hill Lizards in Valkurm Dunes as tracking by scent.

                  Wow, I never knew this, but now that I think about it, it makes sense. For the mob to despawn it needs to lose all targets outside of its normal wandering range...but Diggers can wander all over the zone.

                    i actually did hear something that certain mobs hold grudges to players an their parties. its like mob families all acting different towars you. some aggro to sight, others aggro to sound, an others do nothing. its all confusing.

                    i cant see how a goblin digger aggroed all the afks since the newest patch. since the person who aggroed it pulled it out of its spawn radius, an when zoned lost all hate. the goblin should have depopped. the only way it could have stayed out is A. it was a NM, or B. there were still party members outside. an the hate bounced from the guy who zoned to all the players afk.

                    I tend to believe its B. cause i have seen players pull mobs to lose aggro an claim, an the mob atks me as i was pulling another mob when they passed me.

                      The patch notes didn't specificy spawn radius, it said "wandering radius" or something to that extenct if I remember right. Diggers can walk all over the place, so in theory it's impossible to meet the depop requirement
