I'm just wondering... when you say pre-75 you mean Lv40(Yes, just that one level) and post 66 right?

Uh... No I mean pre 75. Your example is comparing ninja to a pld. I'm not talking about that. I mean turning Ninja into a DD comparable to other DDs. But this is only possible @75 becase the gear you need to do it is 75. You can attempt to DD as you showed but thats not really what i'm talking about. Any Ninja DDing before endgame merits/eq is not really worth doing imo. Its better off, and probably cheaper to just stay an evasion tank. Thats what you are needed for at that level.

At end game, in TP burn pts, were best parties are something like NIN, WAR/NINx3, BRD, RDM against VT mobs, you almost need to become a DD to keep up and actually add value to the PT. Fights last about 30 seconds and provided you have enough mobs to kill you can chain continuously into the triple digits.

Swift belt (warwolf for jin)

Fuma Sune-ate (savage gaiters for jin)

My merits are all capped except subtle blow and ninjutsu skill.

As you can see you need to be 75 and pretty pimped to pull it off right. Ninja DD below 75 in a novelty imo.

With this setup you pretty much rank above all other DD jobs except MNK and WAR.

Thanks, my friend is trying to get me to level other classes sinc ehe says I will not be able to nin since it is so expensive, but im still not sure. Need to pick a job to levle soon.
