Ninja Quest or Dark Knight?

so i've read all about this two quests and both sound simple and easy i think but since im a noob kinda and some of you guys are like incredible high level i would like to ask you which one is best ???? well in my own opinion i think DKN is best but NIN has some good stuff too so can some expert please help me?

there is no best job. trust me, there isnt and there never will be a best job. now if youre talking about ease of quest, dark knight is by far easier than nin. dark knight might take a bit longer than nin, but w/o any higher lvl help, nin quest is pretty difficult for lv. 30s. drk quest can be done w/o any help and with almost no risk.

you will soon learn that each job has their specialties and weaknesses. there will never be 1 end all job to anything, if that was the case, there wouldnt be any point to having the other 18 jobs around.

if you want to be an all decent melee, good end game dmg and good tank: ninja is your job.

if you want to be a good dd, have one of the, if not the strongest light renkei closing weaponskills in the game: dark knight is your job.

lol dark quest involves you going too 2 places, pal mines,an given a g sword when you ride a boat, an beadaux where all you have to do is zone in. also with dark knight you need to kill 100 mobs with no ws.

nin involves trips to bastok an norg, norg being a pain in the but to get to an navigate if your not familiar with them. plus with nin quest you have to fight 3 nm leeches.

since i was from bastok, an familiar with both areas. the quest took my about 30 mins to slaughter 100 worms an bees. this includes both trips. so yeah DRK is the easiest advanced job quest their is,

nin = pro's>> faster party invites an set ups. high demad for tank job. an have an ability to solo. common sub job for war,thf,rng,bst
cons >> extremely pricey, tools cost alot, spells caust alot, an gear set ups caost alot. nin are hated by pld.

drk cons >> low invite rate, dark gear is high cost.
drk pro's >> gear is basic an straight forward. can be used for any lvls.

A lot of new or aspiring players seem to have this idea that you need to make a choice about your job upfront and then you'll be stuck with that job for the rest of your life. This is far from the truth. There's no reason you can't play ninja and dark knight. If fact, if both sound appealing to you then the best thing to do is play a little with both of them and see which you like more. NIN and DRK are both fun and useful jobs. Which one is "better" is entirely dependant on what role you enjoy playing more.

It looks like you've leveled warrior a good bit, so think about the parties you've had where you were the tank and others where your job was to deal damage and ask yourself which was more appealing to you. If damage is your thing, try dark knight. If you like being the center of the mob's attention, go with ninja.


Ninja is probably the hardest job in the game to unlock so far. The first part of the quest involves fighting three level 32 NM leeches, just one of which would have no trouble killing you at level 30 and you have to fight all three at the same time. You'll definately need some high level help with that. I was just barely able to pull it off as ~45rdm/blm, but I ended the fight with my hp and mp in the red after using every trick I had. You'll probably want someone 50+ with you for that. The second part sends you to Norg, which means you'll have to navigate a high level area with no map and find the zone without getting killed. Technically soloable if you bring Silent Oils and look at an online map beforehand, but you'd save yourself a lot of trouble by getting an escort that knows the way and can cast Sneak on you.

agreed, my first job i wanted to take to 75 was drg. i later on found out i didnt like the job itself. actually in my list of choosing jobs. NIN was my forth choice, an was suppose to be a sub for war. well it ended up to be my first job to 75.

then id never saw myself ever playing bst. then RL made me choose. quit the game an all i invested, or play a few hours a day an goof off with bst. low an behold bst was my second job to 75.

truth is you may end up liking neither, or loving both. but let you choice of jobs be your own. an i an others will always be around to give you insight on whatever job you fall in love with...

just unlock all the jobs and take them all to 20 or 30 or so. then choose which one(s) you'd like to stick with. that's what i did, and it was a blast.

Well, if its just between DRK and NIN, I'd go with DRK first. NIN is an extremely expensive job, and you'd probably quit it in frustration if it was your first job.

lol play dark an you will be rich, but low in lvls. i speak from experience on this matter.

Are you asking what lvl to unlock the quest, or what lvl people should be to accomplish the quest? 30 to unlock. As for accomplishing it, I'd get some high level help. A couple lvl 50+'s maybe?

Two good 50s or a 60 should be able to do it easily. It depends on the skill and jobs of the people involved, of course. Just make sure the soft target, if there is one in your group, doesn't get mobbed by all three leeches. If a level 30 person is spawning the leeches, they will all go for that person first, so have someone ready to cast a -ga spell or somethin to draw them off.

By the way, Aragorn. Clearly English isn't your first language so I won't trouble you too much about it, but we have a hard time understanding your posts, so help us help you and try to be as clear and specific as possible.

My character is war30/thf15 then i think i dont have chance of doing this quest.

Its cool, dont apalogize, awesome that you're learning a second language. Sometimes its hard to know if the person has poor grammar and spelling b/c they are lazy (several posters on these forums have this problem) or if its b/c they don't fully yet get the language. I wasn't trying to be a jerk, sorry.

As far as the quest goes, find some higher lvl friends to help you. I know by 30 I had an ls with several 50's and 60's. If all else fails, just go to jeuno and shout for help. Just be sure you've gotten all the prerequisites out of the way.

Doing the part in Norg is incredibly easy, you may just ask someone around that is higher in rank or lvl to show you how to get there. Just be sure to bring along some sneak oils just in case.
