Currently im a level 12 nin.....and i know i wont be wanted in a party till i get blink but i cant buy it because it is like 500k and then add the costs of tools and i cant farm because thief is level 6 and it would take forever to get yag necklaces for norg fame so how do you think i should do.......i need help before i just drop my taru and his coconut head everyone loves the coconut head......

raise your thf to 15 and farm. there's no getting around it. either farm the 500k or farm the necklaces/zinc ores.

if you want to risk your beastman seals, you could try your hand at some BCNM and pray for good drops.

You might also consider simply forgetting about Ninja for the moment and leveling up a different job you enjoy. Once you get to a higher level your farming possibilities increase, and it will be much easier to get the gil required for Ninja. Remember, to be an effective Ninja you must use a wide range of your Ninjitsu to keep hate, not just Utsusemi.

Also, I'd advise just farming the Yagudo Necklaces or the Zinc Ore. It will save time in the long run, as Norg fame is useful for more than just Utsusemi: Ni.

yes. there is no way around norg fame. you WILL need it sooner or later. i suggest starting early. unlike other games, there is no easy way around things. you will need to do zinc ore quest 25+ times or yagudo necklaces 50+ times, or if you'd like, shell out for the scroll itself. if you cannot/will not do either, i suggest stick with playing a mage job.

not to mention if you do it the ore/necklace way you'll still need to be high enough level to survive Sea Serpent Grotto, where the quest point is.


NIN and SMN are difficult to get everything for if you aren't high enough level. for smn you either have to be 65+ and high fame to get them all or 20 for all but fenrir, and then, you have to fight them at 65 first and then get Fenrir. ie you have to fight all avatars 2x to have them and fenrir. a third time and fenrir 2x for the Evoker's Ring.

lol my summoner is level 27 now with all espt 3 which is ramuh still cant kill him and leviathin and fenrir so im basicly ready with summoner but i can get zincs soo easy i no where there is like a gaint group of worms i can just use a ga spell and get them so easy
on cerberus zinc ore is 2k on gilgamesh zinc ore is 500gil that made me mad i couldnt craft.

Only advice I can give is what everyone already said. If you can't afford NIN or RNG, don't bother. Simply put, if you suck at the job, you're gonna hurt more than just yourself. Many other players will have to suffer because of your actions (Be it other PT members or just other NIN/RNG in general from the reputation)

Even for me, I stopped playing around with NIN once Shihei started knocking on 15K per stack on the AH. Don't get me started on the other tools (Kaginawa for 50K a stack ... insane)

i need a lot more than 2-3 ores a get from gardening before i'll even consider rng or nin just b/c my main is more important to me (and relevant subs) and those jobs are just way to expensive

especially since i need enf torque and someone jacked erase from 500k to 650k >_<

i tried to sneak/invis a level 3 in the dunes, they wore in 2 seconds, if a level 1 tries that in SSG, they'll have to go thru 1 oil/powder a step

i heard how long you are sneaked/invis is dependant on your level and the level of the area and some random factor, maybe that's just spells and not alchemy items but i wouldn't know.

well, if a level 1 has the fame for this quest, they should have the gil to fund thier oils and powders.
