I think there are Parry knifes at around level 30-ish... I think they give +10 to Parry too. Higher Parry skill means that you'll parry more often. I'm not sur eif these are Rare or not but holding one could make a difference.

Not sure if it's better than using a Great Katana though.

Those daggers are hella weak so dont expect to use them in a PT. I wouldnt even touch them on my THF, let alone my NIN... They are like 2k each though, if you wanna buy them for some skill, and they drop from a pansy NM in Beadeaux.
