Nin Att Gear..

Quick question, im starting to fight god's more now, and my LS has several PLD's that usually tank. As im not tanking evasion and agi gear is wortheless, so would it be feasable for me to max out str and att+ gear, in hope's ninja could be a good DD?

Or am i wasting my time/money completely..

My thought were:

Byrnie
Ochido's Kote
2 Ruby STR+4 rings
2x Merman Earring's
Temple guards collar?
Unji
Unsho
Rasestu boots? Att+4 ..(Fuma Sune-ate's)?
warwolf belt..
bomb core?

Sole suishi...

sorry, but if you're not tanking gods then katanas won't do much of anything against gods. better to go nin/rng and use guns or shurikens.

Yep, 70%+ of non-RNG melee damage comes from Sneak Attack combined with powerful one-hit weaponskills. NIN doesn't gain one, only option is NIN/RNG.

Allright, thank's kinda had a feeling that was coming. Didn't mitsu try a nin/rng setup and say it wasn't up to par on HNM's/God's?

Ill check out some equipment setup's for nin/rng.

No job is "better" then another. All 3 get the job done, and that's the whole reason you kill things in sky. It also depends on what your LS is build on. A NIN tanking in a PLD-built LS won't do that well, and vise-versa.

I still bitch all the time at my LS to let me tank though.

Parsed some Seiryus today, one of our NIN tanks using Fudos, Flame Rings, Peacock Charm, Osode, Haidate, etc. and eating Sushi did 2.5kish damage just from melee. Rangers did about 3~4k, DRK did about 3k, I did 5kish as WAR/THF. So he did very respectably especially for being a tank. He was hitting about 40~50 a hand, and Blade: Jin for 200~300. Side note, Seiryu has 20k hp. Could he push past that as NIN/WAR, probably not, since WS are lacking. Another of our NINs has screwed around on NIN/RNG with a Coffinmaker and had some fun with that just as a DD, but of course you lose a lot of utility in not being able to tank should you need to.

But anyways you'd get about the same DD results on Suzaku and Byakko and Kirin. On Genbu, not so much. XD And for Byakko it's not the greatest idea in the world to have someone with dual wield IV whacking him as much as possible.

Rasetsu Sune-Ate (+1 if you can get a hand on this)

2x Flame Ring
2x Mermand Earring
Bomb Core

All this give me 411 base atk. im using coeurl sautee and boost atk to 475 (still testing food). I do all ENM with this gear since i share the tanking work with a PLD/NIN - works fine

Curious, is Warwolf seen as a better option to say the Swordbelt +1 for a DD set up?

Wait a minute, let me get this straight... the NIN/WAR was wearing damage dealing gear AND tanking Seiryu at the same time? Umm that's pretty hard to believe. Seiryu is one of the hardest mobs for a Ninja to tank unless the Ninja wearing full VIT gear OR full evasion gear. I simply cannot believe he was tanking with full attack gear. Also, hitting 40-50 per katana is not believable either. Do you have any screen shots? I'm not a fan of parsers since information on parsers can be misleading.
