For the ninja who just wants to get Ustu:Ni and stop there.

This job is only a utility to me, so I'd rather not dump more than 50% of my meager funds into it.
However, I don’t want to be, in any noticeable way, inadequate to the point where I could be considered a ‘Bad Nin.’

I would like advice on playing this job as efficiently as possible.

find another nin, or war @ 24 and duo tank your parties.
a 2 utsusemi tank combo is very effective for 12-37. 6 shadows then provoke, next 6 shadows, provoke again. repeat.

equip wise, your standard equipment is fine. if you have emp. hairpin and leaping boots, those would be nice. up to 37 ur main powder expensive will pretty much be shihei. you can get the enfeebling powder when you are able to use them but imo, its not totally necessary. i didnt start using enfeebling ninjutsu until i got the Ni. versions of hojo and kurayami. they just take too long to cast and by the time ur done, you almost dont have time to recast ichi. causes more problems than it helps.

get standard katanas at your lvl, you might want to use sword also. sword skill wont be that far behind at these lvls and their ws are better than katana imo.

lvling to 37 isnt -that- taxing on your gil relative to how draining it can get. but definately try to duo tank with someone. it will make it easier on your mages as well as on your pocket.

seeing as your a 75 mnk, i think it be fairly easy to farm the gil to lvl ninja properly, an if you cant, or dont choose to do so. id rather have you not give the ninja class a bad name.. also to be honest with all other would be ninjas. it is cheap to lvl from 1-32. utes is rarely cast due to it always getting interupted, most times you are not the tank, but the puller. other times you share the tank role..
