Parrying Dagger: Useful in Jungles?

Ive been leveling ninja, and im close to hitting the jungles. My parrying is capped, and i notice that i parry quite often during fights. My question is, would having a Parrying Dagger equiped show noticable difference, and would it help out? My dagger skill is a measly 3, but skilling it up to use one for those few levels is no problem for me.

You know what Viz, that's a great idea. I've never thought about using a Parrying Knife.
Why don't you test it out? Maybe it'll be great. In theory, if you have parrying capped (or almost), it'll work out ok. Espicially since you're against monk types (Mandragoras, Jungle = Elshimo region, I assume?), it'll be a better bonus. If you can, try to buy a Beestinger first, and use it against mobs you can take on solo, to level up dagger before you start trying this out. The problem with this is that most NIN dual a 1-handed sword and a katana, for a wide variety of WS and better damage output. Parrying Knife, although it has a resonable low delay, has very weak DMG value. So, if you dual your knife and a katana, you'll be doing lower dmg. :[

The best way, I think, is to try it out yourself. ^^
See how much amount of dmg you do with a sword/katana as an average, then with a knife/katana. If you find that the average dmg isn't hugely apart, and you parry a lot more with the knife/katana combo, go with that until higher lv.

anyways, yea that be a nice idea if your parrying is capped. if it is no where near capped (like mine >< 140/244?!?) it wont make any difference at all. dagger isnt so bad at that lvl since the skill gap wont be that great. i would use a katana in the main hand tho.

ive got DRG and WAR at lvl 50, so i can easily skill up that way ^^

my damage output sucks anyways haha, im decked out in + evasion (and unfortunatly, - attack) gear. if my damage sucks big time ill prolly just unequip my evasion earrings and sub other earrings for the time being, if it doesnt hinder my shadow loss by much.
