Yes its still worth leveling, the update really didnt hurt us that much other then a very select few mobs, and even then its monsters we usually wouldnt tank in an exp PT.

everything you posted is still true about nins...

nins are very rare on my server and get inviters faster then just about any other job, including mages in some situations.

theres no 'safe' job. jobs get updated all the time, never know whos gonna get changed next. just pick a job, and dedicate to it full time or youre -never- going to be satisfied with any job.

^^^ dont say that, with all the complaints bout rngs being overpowered i dont wanna be gimped omni....please your gonna ginx me...lol

ummm if i wasnt a DD at heart i'd level ninja full time.

my reasons:

1. ninjas have by far, hands down w/o exception the coolest looking Af in the game, not to mention the 12% movement speed on the boots is uber, and stacks with the aketons i believe..

2. ninjas have great evasion skill, level 60 farming gobbues w/o taking damage <yes, please>

3. ninjas can be uber DDs or the best tanks in the game post 63 (arshats gear is amazing in action, i just last night saw a nin keep the hate from 4 rngs on an HNM, of course they had to kite it once in a while, but still.


4. ninja is the most exspensive job in the game, theres gotta be some good satisfaction received when you hit level 75 with the most elite job in the game.

5. did i say how cool ninja AF is? yeah buddy bad arse times a million..

1. My ranger in the mid 50s would own my higher lvl blm any day of the week, and they both have about the same amount of gil in gear (before i got my hawkers+1 that is)

2. Im a ranger baby!!!!!!!!!!! a fn ranger!!! w00t!!!!! is there anything cooler then pulling our your pistola and blasting the Ems to sh.. who think its a good idea to aggro you.....lol i love aggro now (as long as they arnt ts or higher...lol)

and...im not jinxing you its just that you cant play a job based on its useful-howmanyinvitesiget-l33t-cool factor. if you do, you wont ever enjoy it let alone be able to take it all the way. just like ur job and stick with it! :spin:

yea if u look at the log closely, he starts 100fist at the very beginning of the video.

kraken club dmg is pretty weak. i think base dmg is only in the `teens? and i doubt he has club skill capped either or if mnks get any club skill? no sure... but funny video to say the least. hmm makes me wonder about the use of kraken club in xp pt? oh new topic time!

edit: actually every job gets some inherent club skill.

thats because the kraken club has only 11 damage. there is a video of a rdm using it for only 8-12 damage an his skil was about 180 or so..

sam got there traditional head piece, drks, an others jobs af head piece looks like the head pieces from the earlier ff.

I never really even noticed the update, heck if anything the fact you can see the number of shadows you lose helps.

The challenges of being a Ninja:
-Whole level range is an uphil climb, earlier levels are challenging.
-Extremely expensive.
-Favored equipment tends to be difficult to obtain.
-High learning curve. Its a job for people who like a challenge, or
like to keep busy.
-Bit of pressure in parties, the tank position is a very crucial part of the party, hell its probably the most important.
-Being a little more savvy about things is a major bonus.
-Job is easy to knock off balance, takes some getting used to.


Benefits of being a Ninja:
-Very good invite rate, unless its a bad night (Even bard's get those) you will get an invite within an hour of seeking most of the time.
-You can tank exclusively. Perfect evasive skills, and on top of that your physical defense is not that bad in comparison to 50% of the other melee's.
-You have decent melee which gets better as you get higher. Arguably second best damage from hit rate by end level.
-Enfeebling ability
-Wonderful soloing options. You can solo almost anything around your range, and beyond end game. Ninja's can take care of themselves.
-I guarantee you this job will force you to learn how to make large amounts of gil rather rapidly.
-The most stylish WS in the game (Blade: Ku)
-One of the best looking AF and Relic.
-On top of that, the AF boots are worth mentioning for sheer
usefulness.
-Valued end game commodity.
-The satisfaction of knowing all your leeteness was earned.

Hardly sounds like a gimp job to me. Its imo, just as powerful as it was before.

I'm not pting at the moment so I can make some gil, but that doesn't stop people from sending random invites to me at times, sometimes I get an invite even when I'm anon. o.O
