Yeah I think the thing is, is Ku definitely has the damage potential, but unfortunatly SE decided to make it somewhat innacurate. 
The highest levle Ninja on my linkshell loves to swap acc gear when performing Ku, he already wears a good amount of acc+ along with evade so when he pulls off Ku he swaps a few of the other stuff for extra acc and he says if as many of the 5 hits as possible hit, its damage is pretty nice. I can't remember how much of a difference in damage between a full hitting Ku and Jin there is, although despite weither or not ku does more damage potentially, the extra work to get it to hit is really probably just to be able to look insanely cool and potent at the same time. :sweat:

I remember I was taking a Chocobo to camp Mee Deggi one time in Sauromunge, and there was a Ninja and a Warrior/Ninja (both 75 ofcourse), and a White Mage attacking Roc to keep it busy until they're friends got there. The Ninja was using a Katana in main hand and Kraken Club in the sub hand, and was constantly hasted by the White Mage. That guy spammed Ku like there was no tomorrow for some reason. That thing like..came out every 15 seconds, it was pretty awsome looking. Its really easy to see why some Ninja's would go through extra trouble to get Ku to work if they solo WS, just for the looks. :D
