    Jack o Lanturns and Navarin are your best bet.

      some other options i've heard of are yellow curry and tuna sushi (accuracy)

      navarin seems best overall, nice balance of stats/atk/evasion.

      i really like the changes, there isnt just kabobs as a choice anymore, lots different choices for different situations.

        The New food choices are a drain on gil ~_~;

        Spending 10k on say Bison Steak that lasts 3 hours and maybe dying at the 1-2 hour point sucks.

        stack of meat kabobs used to cost about 4k a stack and lasted 6 hours.

        Now I gotta spend 20k for similar effect for the same amount of time ; ;

          I like the changes as well, and yellow curry is a nice choice for nins who lack that attack power.

          I havent tried anything else since the patch, but im real worried about tanking on food that last a long time, but cost alot, what happens when i die and need to eat another one..

              last 3-4 hours now, cost 7k on titan.

              and yeah this is something im having trouble with my ninja and my ranger, kabobs are crap now, so i need new food, and besides the uberly exspensive bison steak...

              ...yellow curry is my best bet.

              I have yet to die after using yellow curry, so im sure when i do that'll be the end of that, but for now, 7k for food for a solid xp sessions is expsensive, but'll have to do.

              I am thinking about some accuracy food for my ninja untill i can equip snippers.

                I'm liking Navarins now personally. I used them occasionally before the patch, though they did seemed too pricey. But with mithkabobs up to 6k a stack now, paying 2000-2500 each for a Navarin that lasts 3 hours seems well worth it.

                Navarins give HP+20 STR+3 AGI+1 INT-1 Attack+10% and Evasion+5, for anyone that didn't know.

                  maybe id eat the money cost of yellow curry. or bison steak, or some of the other pricey foods if i had a static pt. that kinda money doesnt seem worth it on a group of players you have rarely pted with, or go to a new zone you have never been to.

                  us ninja already risk massive amounts of gil. nothing like spamming powders only to die. now i have to worry about the gil put into food.

                  depending on the pt set up an such id bounch between cheifs, navarins, an jack o lanterns depending on pt set up. now it seems S.E is forcing me to go to another food cause, the other ones lost there use, and cost efficency

                    I always liked the high cost long lasting food, it gives you a slight advantage over the kabob users, and if you dont die alot like me (not because of any skill or anything, but more becasue post lvl 40 im a tad more picky about my party members, and an escaper is always available, i am the puller so linkers arnt ever an issue)

                    ...anyway now that this food last 3-4 hours, i think SE wants us to take advantage, or at least try it out (new NPC to remove food effects, hint hint)

                    jack o lanterns, navarian, yellow curry, bison steak, its all great, but IMO navarian is the best because it adds evasion, its just hard to find on titan so ive been using yellow curry.

                      I think these are the best Ninja foods. Its basically repeating what everyone else says.

                      Jack-O-Lantern: As far as price availability and the time you get back for it, I think this is the most well balanced food a Ninja can eat. It concentrates on the Ninja's top two strengths, evasion and accuracy to the extreme, +10 for EVA and ACC. They really are to me, the standard Ninja food. Balanced to offense and evasive defense. (You'll really notice how much of a difference it makes when every one of those spammy hits actually lands) The evasion bonus is very aparent. They're usually 2200 on Ragnarok, and probably all servers. 2200 for Three hours of eating an imaginary Scorpion Harness basically, is really cost efficient on the long run. I can eat just one for an entire party sometimes, and two if it goes on longer. The downside to these ofcourse, is if you die you gotta have another one, and you can only carry one at a time (no stacks). But its all offset by the fact one lasts for 3 hours. For those kind of bonuses, its worth it. I was using Chiefkabobs before this, because Mithrakabobs just wasn't giving me the push I wanted anymore. Maybe I'm just an overachiever, but these Jack-O's not only save you precious shihei, but they really do save gil. Its like eating one thing for an entire party, having one extra or a mithrakabob or whatever incase you die. But with your evasion so high it'll take something really stupid to kill you. :D

                      Navarian: These guy's are becoming as popular as JAck-O-Lanterns too. I personally prefer Jack's because my gear is basically perfectly suited for the huge increase in just Acc and Eva. (I have a lot of dex, Ochiudo's Kote, good accuracy, and 26-31 Evasion depending. The Evasion bonus helps out the Ochiudo's minus and puts my evasion at 36-41. And the huge bonus in accuracy means all that dexterity and the healthy 20 ATK (Can't wait for Bailthorn!) means good atk power and lots of criticals constantly. But for setups that concentrate on a strict Evasion/Accuracy build these may benefit a lot because the atk increase will help out your damage a lot, while giving you a decent evasion bonus. The HP bonus is very useful, I predict these will become extremely useful to almost all Ninja's in the last levels for all that stuff up there.

                      Yellow Curry: I tried just one of these recently, my god if anyone at 70-75 for various purposes uses Mithrkabobs or Chiefkabobs over one of these if you wanna go total damage offense, they're either broke or oblivious. The attack increase is gigantic! It sucks that its so expensive but I noticed the price is going down... Hopefully it'll go even lower, because for a Ninja in particular, (And Ranger's and Thieves and War/Nin too) This kind of huge attack bonus that also adds a bit to agility is really the best way to go if you want to go total flippy on someone. They could have use in exp parties too, if you're say, exping with a highly damaging set of melee partners, and you feel like you don't need any kind of evasion bonus, they could give you much needed hate from melee if you work that way.

                      Meat Chiefkabobs: I don't think these are that expensive really, I don't buy stacks, I buy single and 3-4 is usually good enough. Personally, unless your really budgeting I think these should be used instead of Mithrakabobs. Jus don't buy in bulk, and you'll be fine. After tasting (no pun intended..har har me.)the power of Yellow Curry these really are the inferior damage dealing food of the two, but they have cost efficiency on they're side and they're still very solid.

                      Meat Mithrakabobs: These are at the bottom now.. The food I've been eating for a long time. To they're merit, they do add a well balanced amount of attack power for a relatively low cost (Well it used to be low anyways) But in my opinion these things are just totally obsolete. The main reason a person would use it really seeing the rising cost is becaus they're afraid to try anything else imo. I don't know, but after feeling how much of a difference curry powder and Jack-O-Lanterns make in increasing my performance, these things just don't cut it anymore. I think its definitely going to start separating the average Ninja's from the best Ninja's on weither they use this, or use the above.

                      Not to mention Mithrakabobs give you a minus in the mnd stat. XD None of the others do that, well, I think Chief does but I haven't checked in a while.

                      I love that there's more options open too. Except for Yellow Curry, the top ones on this list I've found I'm actually saving a lot of money and getting a ton of performance in return.

                      Playing Ninja's gotten a lot of varied as of late too, you notice all these foods fit individual play styles depending on how you set up your equipment.

                        really right now jack o lanterns are very easy to make, an if you can make mithkabobs you can make these. level 36 1 fire crystal (300gil) + 1 beeswax(1k) + 1 orge pumpkin(96gil) = jack o lantern. (1396gil). those costs are from the a.h. but if you have a high enough alchemy you can make your own beeswax an hq the synths witch really does lower the cost. so all you need to do is carry a stack of fire crystals, a stack of orge pumpkins an a stack of beewax. an really you end up only losing 2 spots more.

                            I was gonna level ranger, so i've been testing alot of food, i ate a bison steak (cost 10k) and noticed a huge difference in ranged attack power....shortly after (like 15 mins and one barrage after i ate the steak) my friend asked me to come tank with my nin for their party, so i changed gear, bought a couple navarian(sp) to test those out as well, then realized my steak was gonna be on for another 3+ hours.

                            I get in the party, and im outdamaging the warrior, it was crazy!!!!! bison steak ups your damage times a million, omfg i never thought ninja's could hit that hard (like 20 per hit, so 40+ on the double hits) it doesnt seem like alot of dmg, but for a level 26 nin, it was huge, sometimes my hits do single digit damage

                            I have +1 katanas, ima mithra, umm thats the basics, my gear is evasion focused, i have tons of dex and agi

                            man bison steaks are great, i wish i could of saved for rng leveling though, i love having rng offs to see who dots the most.

                              Attack will make quite a difference. I tested evasive/enmity ninja gear recently. My low-end, non-Berserk hit damage on IT++ dropped from around 40 to around 32. That might not seem like that much but that's 16 damage per round, and with Haste + Dual Wield you're talking about a big damage difference.

                              Looks like it's steaks from now on. I can imagine the first party I get that disbands after an hour or less :dead:
