If you think about how much you're spending, you won't be an effective ninja.

          ^^^^

If you quest your scrolls it's not that bad at first. At 37 and then 40 is when it really starts to cost. At 55 I'll probably spend, uhm, 50k on tools to get to 56? Maybe more, as I need to refine some of my play a bit.

This is how I do gil. I farm little bits for consumables and small upgrades. For big upgrades I just take weeks off of exp'ing and I do several different things to make money aside from farming.

I'm not the best-equipped ninja but I do ok. Of course I've already got a 60+ melee so farming isn't hard at all, and soon I'll be able to solo a lot of stuff

firstly get your alchemy, smithing, woodworking, clothcraft, all up to ~40 or higher, you can synth your own powders at a MUCH cheaper rate than the AH, and sell your surplus or indeed just craft them for a profit.

I think I spent over 120k in just enfeeble/elemental powder getting level 60-61.
Seriously, don't constantly keep an eye on how much powder you have left when you play - its more more fun to throw it around as much as you can without keeping track.
The more you spend, the more fun it is :spin:

3 Mithra are better than 1...

hahaha I'm with Navia... it's a blur how many powders I use anymore all I really notice is my gil being 100k less than it was.

A friend quoted me about 80k per level 60-70 and at 66 I guess that's about right. Getting a craft skill up helps but without HQ you're gonna be @ cost on alot of synths... I try to stock up when prices are low and some powders will last you 100k/xp a stack whereas some will last you 20k/xp. Some cities prices are better than others as well... cozy up at their AH.

with 55 slots available. 15 of my slots are takin up by gear. that leaves 40 open. 1 stack of cheifkabobs will last you 12 hours of pting. so now that leaves 39 slots available. most cases i bring 4 stacks of powders for my main 5 casts.. that takes up 20 more slots. witch still leave me open for 19 more. thats 19 more spaces i can do a number of things with.. bring more powders. food. or leave it open for crystals..

nothing ruins a pt more then a ninja hesitant to cast a spell cause of the price he just dropped on that powder. an there is nothing sadder then dropping 120k to lvl everytime. you will notice it. thus making the job not much fun..

my way eliminates that painful sight of spending 120k every lvl. my way just makes ti seem cheaper to lvl then what it really is..
