I've been hearing more and more that the +chr/provoke corrolation is a myth. It's hard to prove but... alas.
As far as testing the corrolation betw +chr and Ninjutsu... I don't know that it'd be wise to break out a Monster Signa in an xp party and test. But... it makes sense... outside of the fact Ninja chr isn't exactly extrordinarily high. It's not necessarily pathetic either so... I don't know. Maybe some day I'll borrow a bst friend's gear and go around casting Ninjutsu on IT's near zone somewhere.Comment

Just because your AF has +random stat doesn't mean that you get anything special from it. RNG gets +INT, RDM gets +CHR, etc.
Squenix has said with a good deal of clarity exactly what CHR affects (BRD songs, BST charm, some specific WSes), and Provoke wasn't in that list.

I'm beginning to think CHR does have something to do with ninjitsu.....
Recently I've switched over from Navarin (+5 evasion) to using Jack-o-lanturns (+10 evasion, +10 accuracy, -10 chr).
Anyway for some bizarre reason... I've come across mobs that I can simply not debuff. You know how Kurayami is... if it doesn't stick on the first try, it always sticks on the second. Almost always. These aren't crazy IT++++++ mobs either, these are the same ITs that I've been xping on for the last 2 hours.
But quite a few times we've gotten a crab or a crawler and its resisted debuffs up to 7 times!!!
My ninjitsu is capped, and even switching to the AF headpiece hasn't helped it much.
