Hey congratulations.
I am currently farming for the Hocho.... and I have no idea how often this guy spawns, is he completly random pop,,,, or like 2 hours? 12 hours? 24 hours?Comment

I've only camped him once, took ~3-4hrs to spawn and no drop.
When my smn hits 70 I'm going to go solo camp him.
He's a lottery pop with the single ninja tonberry in that room ( also a smn and a THF )55% Skill

Hmm it took me around 3 hours to spawn him too but no sword
but I did happen to go turn in a rattle to the other guy for the Hototogisu, ended up getting it on my first try. Wish I knew about it when I was level 55!! Thats one sweet katana. The guy mijin gakun me for 1,000 damage..... man it was wild.

Is that lvl55 RARE/EX katana really good to use during exp?
dmge seems kinda low.... might have problem holding hate.Comment

The damage is kinda lowish, but the damage is good and 3 accuracy is nice. I prefer the faster katanas to the higher damage one... wish I could find more at level 75 like that.Comment

Its fast and accurate = creates good hate. All I do is throw powder and swing that katana to keep hate. Never needed thf (or drk/thf now at these higher levels ) to keep the monster interested in attacking only me. You just dont mainhand equip it so you can put a higher base damage katana in your main (weapOriginally posted by Cryptik

My ninjitsu rhythm is a bit off when I swap hototogisu out to wield a 2nd +1 katana, increasing my swing delay (222 delay on that hand instead of 185 feels like i've been slowe'd).
Ninjas higher than myself still use it for xp blink tanking or HNM.
I think its a pride thing for a lot of ninjas to own it, because of the trouble you have to go through to get it - it shows dedication to your job.
