Hey im new to Ninja and im basically gonna use Ninja for the dual Wield ability for my Ranger so i can equip two archers knives.

Anyway, i was wondering wich of the ninja tools are actually necessary to have and which ones i can do without, because im kinda on a low budget right now.

pre-37 nin isnt that expensive.. you dont even NEED the ninja tools, you wont tank full time in a PT.. id say you needed 100k worth of shihei to get to ~30 or so.. thats at 5k a stack on Bismarck

i blink tanked from lvl 17-25 with nin/war. you can wear the same armors as all the other tanks at these levels, so just load up on defense and consider blink to be an extra. I was able to tank just fine, and there were very few times when I had trouble (against mobs that double attack like pugils it's worthless to even try) but you will evade and parry a ton compared to pld or war at this lvl.

the 2 enfeebling ninjutsu I had (blind and slow)really helped a ton with holding aggro, but the tools for them are VERY expensive.

I spent more lvling my nin to 25 than i did my ranger to 35..

my suggestion. blink, hyoton(ice, debuff to fire), blind, and slow are the only ninjitsu you really need to buy, and even then, blind and slow aren't really necessary, they just help you tank. definitely get hyoton though, the tools for it are extremely cheap, and it will help you raise your ninjutsu skill, as well as debuffing to fire (and since everyone does fusion early on, it's perfect)

I agree with Phor. Hyoton is great. Tsura is so cheap (1k a stack). Its great for holding hate. For battles I usaully go: Kuryami(blind), utsusemi, hojo(slow), hyoton, voke. Its great for holdong hate. Its kinda expensive, but I think its fun using alll the powders.

Blink tanking against the mandies is damn near impossible. You would have to have super hihg evasion to even try.

I would agree that taking ninja to 25 was more expensive than ranger to 35.
