Shurikens needed? How to get back Hate.

Well, whenever I seen Ninjas leveling I never see them use Shurikens or any form of throwing items. Doesn't this help get hate? What about Ninjitsu? Could someone please tell me a few ways to get back hate besides Provoke .

Stars are touch and go. Depending on your access to rng acc+ equip stat ninjutsu maybe best. Also it depends on what ripped hate from youif you lost hate from just melee damage or from ws, also it depends on how much hate you had before you lost hate. If you could hit with stars i would say best way to regain hate is Jubaku>provoke>hojo>blind ninjutsu>star...

Personally, I love my shurikens and wouldn't be caught dead leveling without them. Sure, they whiff quite a bit, but that's why they have low delay; so you can spam them to hell and back. If you throw three of them, one of them has got to hit. That's my experience at least.

As for getting hate back, for me, it depends who the monster is going after. If it's a mage, then I voke it right there and do my best to keep it with shuriken spam until hate seems stable again. It's usually already debuffed so taking four seconds to cast an enfeebling ninjutsu would be a bit of a waste (though I'll probably feel differently when I can cast the Ni versions).

If it goes after a melee, it's a little simpler. I take the moment to renew my images. Utsusemi seems to tick the mob off for whatever reason. Then, depending on how I lost hate, I might voke and resume tanking as usual (if I lost hate to a WS) or I might use an elemental debuff, then voke then pray the hailstorm of shurikens I'm about to unload hits its mark (I only have to do this if I made a critical mistake in hate development from the start).

Depends on the level I guess. My advice is to get some enmity equipment, starting with mermaid ring, then hate should not be a problem. Taunt every 30 seconds along with the elemental jutsu is more than enough, no stars needed.

If you don't have a thief or a trick attack user in your PT, make sure you MB with your elemental jutsu. Very important in keeping hate after renkei.

Alright..thanks for the replies.

I was just mentioning Star spam maybe, becuase really money isn't an problem at all to me :X. So, i'll try out any Enmity Equip, some other Ninjitsu, and maybe an occasional star spam when I dont have anything else.
