DO NOT be fooled into buying these if they are over 150k. Only on fireday will these be any good all other days they are calmost crap compared to fudos or mamushito+1. They popped in ragnarok AH today and i tried to buy at 400k...no sale...tough $hyte anit worth it. Alot of people will look at critical hit rate+5% and be like "woah+ and then see that they are not rare and be like "omfgwtf" Ill tell you right now that the fact that these katanas have D34 makes that possible 10% crit seem pissy....now on fire day these will PWN.
Also who here is quite pissed that a new shuriken has been introduced and has a D85 range acc +18 and its RARE!!!!!!!?
I for one am sick of the games S-E are playn with ninja, it seems like they are STILL having issues on what to do with the job. I mean cmon ... makin a rare shuriken with a HIGH ass D and rng acc....WTF

OK Enmity +2 is quite useless for ninja @ endgame, by that time your hate is primarily damage mainly melee. If your thinking HNM type situations your gonna need +15-20 to keep the HNM on you and not mages ( this is the only thing that keeps nin from tankin god hnm) Lastly NIN has an A- in throw and a High D shuriken is like candy...a HIGH D shuriken with +18 rng acc is like a candy STORE. First they deny a weapon class a ws (yes throw is the ONLY weapon class without ws) then they taunt us high lvl ninja with a D85 Rng Acc+18 shuriken ..>.>. Oh and one last thing ..barrage doesnt work with shurken WTF. Shuriken is ranged attack correct so logic dictates that stars should be useable with barrage...nope:mad: I have to gives-e credit for gimping AND increasing the job of nin

You should know that it's not just +2 enmity It's all the enmity from your other pieces of armor combined. Which is most definitely not useless. But it seems like you're just interested about crying that ninja is getting screwed so I guess I'll just leave you alone.

lol first of all i dont make these statements blindly. I have 2 eris earrings mermaids ring pls that sucky arhats equip for enmity and COMBINED it helps with keeping hate, but on HNM god hnm best tank suited is pld bc of the jobs RIP ability. Ninjacant rip hate or regain hate quickly. Instead it has to build hate and hope to keep it. That shuriken that im talkin about would be better suited as a normal throw weapon hence ninja high throw rating. Myself and few other lucky ninja whom has experienced the power of Fumas know what a D85 star can do. And about combined equip..maybe having enmity+ gear was good 40-maaaayybe 65, but from 66-75 (shuriken in question is 74 i think) a ninjas BIGGEST asset to tanking is hate gained from melee and provoke. Therefore a smart nin does not have enmity gear at those lvls but insted use those slots for somthing more usefull for pt situation be it Accuacy Str or even some evade/agi. Lastly pointing out stupidity in anothers opinion is a true sign of your own ignorance:spin:

On the other hand, i would have stuck for the emnity so when i get a running start like elemental wheel, voke, enfeebles and a few shuriken spammed unless emnity works in some way that is not known to me, i should keep hate even if there is a cure5 or something tossed out there. Exactly how much emnity can a nin have? I would never get FULL/ALL emnity for obvious reasons:
1 slot assignment
2 loss of potential stats

another question hit me:
Can you macro emnity gear and then switch out after you finish using it and keep the hate or is it an item that you have to wear constantly?

At lower lvls YES enmity helps but when you get higher you will find those slots are more suited for OTHER equipment. Personally I never had problem with hate past 45 and it gets exponentionaly easier as you lvl. Finally at 73+ when you can use that shuriken you will have either ungurs boomy or bailathorn which are better suited for that slot bc hate is not an issue in pt with ninja at that lvl or 60-74 for that matter. If you have issues with hate at those lvls you need to readjust your playing bc it should not happen. Even with a ranger spamming silver bullets on steelshells in boyhada I could keep hate perfectly if i get ONE taunt and 2 debuffs in before he starts spam. in the instance of slug shot it will rip hate but not enough that a Hojo and a provoke cant cure.Now at my current lvl fight golems, weapons, or wyverns its even easier. At this lvl evade is somewhat meaningless bc mobs hit so slow that you can tank just fine with only utsu NI. So what do i do ..i stack acc equip bc i know that a ninjas hate is 1/2 damage 1/4 voke and 1/4 anything else. Not only do you manage to NOT get hit, but youmanage to deal VERY good DOT (I managed to outdamage DRK/WAR for a few hours on parser till he started with the soul eater crap to rip hate from me).

As far as stacking enmity its all up to your play style and current situation. As i stated before ninja does not have ability to rip hate in great amounts this job must build and manage it. During genbu hate+ equip on ninja does quite well but thats an HNM situation which abide by different rules. You could attempt to stack as much hate gear as possible but you will find your self workin harder that you really should. Balance comes into play. As far as macroing hate gear...id rather not at current lvl simply bc i KNOW that i will not have hate issues because of the experience i have in this job. If im goin to fight a hard HNM and if we are short on PLD in my LS then i will bring my hate gear. Other than hard hnm fights i see no need.

Strifey if your makin the statement regarding hate off low lvl ninja then i would agree BUT GUESS WHAT...thers no hate gear till upper-mid lvls. And the shuriken that we are talkin about is lvl 73.
Thats another point id like to share...A d85 RNG acc+18 star IS almost a free provoke to a decently equipped ninja, hell manji shuriken do upwars of 210-250 per hit on High lvl golems in ruavitau and this with my throw skill 15 lvl behind cap. HAHA point of the matter is this..people who are full time ninja see that rare shuriken are like WTF...FIRST of all why put high D and insanely high rng acc on a rare star (unless its a windmill shuriken then ill die happy) Second of all its...the....BEST...weapon a ninja can obtain for quick damage and its RARE:dead:

That weapon sounds like one of those disposable things like Artic wind. We all know it would go in the ammor slot and as a rare weapon we can carry only one but what would we get out of +18acc on an ammo slot? what its the ranged slot? yeah it sounds too good/odd to fit in there but what if.


As for the outdamaging part, its not hard to believe because of nins low delay and double attacks set off often. Since we can hit 4-5 times (at my level i can hit 4 and if im lucky 5x by time the drk gets the swing off) there leaves room for two extra attacks between the delays as well so its pretty easy. Last time i PTed with a drk he was hitting 90-110 give or take then and i hit for 35-41 both of use used kabobs (didnt have access to agi gear so i had to use attack gear) and could only squeeze in 4 hits the most. That was crawlers nest so i cant compare to later levels.

Strifey lol dude ninja is not a weak melee by far. Especially when you have access to 2 fudos and a decent mix of acc and str. Nin dot can be very high or vey low depending on the individual. From my exp i like to have acc and dex to compliment my fudos atk and crit rate. Only things from keepin them from heavy damage dealers are lack of abilities (of any type) and lack of REAL powerfill WS. As far as straight melee is concerned nin is quite high on the DOT chart, just depends on your gear. BTW the drk was someone in my PT and he had everything a drk should have at that lvl acc and str wise plus he was using scythe. And some FYI for some ninjas acc DOES get redundant on your equip i suggest you aim for +40-50 with some str or dex mixed in. :spin:
