Can anyone give me an idea on the gil?

Im thinking about going Ninja. I really think I can dedicate myself to this job. Anyways, can anyone give me an idea as to how much I will be spending on powders, scrolls, and equipment? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Scrolls- free!! do the quests!! take your time and farm the necklaces, of course you need like 200+ but if you lvl a job doing it in Gid you can get wind crystals and gil +exp, saves you 100k off blink
Equip-debateable if you want the best, figure a month or so before you play Ninja farming for leaping boots-emp hairpin
powders-blink is what, 5k on midgar, dunno how much you use to lvl, since I solo'ed my ninja to 17 farming around 4 stacks-20k
from what I been told 5 days to farm=1 day of lvl'ing which is what I do for samurai anyways, I lvl Ninja as im waiting for my static to catch up

Usually at around lvl 20, I spend 1 stack of Shihie per lvl. I also spend 1 stack of the Kurayami Pownder, cuz that spell is too damn good, add Tsurara to that, its about 11k per lvl just on the excential powders. The other ones usually last longer cuz I dont use them as often, (and remember look in Norg for powders there are some that you can save money on {Uchitake Mikishibi etc... take a look there}) but as soon as I get Dokumori, I will be definatly be using that one. so around 15-20k per lvl up to lvl 30-35 just on powders not counting Mithkabobs.

now as far as equipment goes, I would say, dont bother with leaping boots, I frankly find a waste of money for Ninjas. Instead use that money to actually use all the powders, and buy +1 equipment like bone/beetle set +1, that adds some nice evasion. Get Emperor's as soon as you can... that will last you up to Optical hat. As far as the rest go, I usually favor +Evasion gear over anything so, that really helps my chances to recast blink b4 Ni.

for spells, I would say quest for it, saves a bunch of money, that you can spend on pownders. Try to find a group to BCNM for Utsusemi: Ni for you... that bastard is 200k on my server now... I sold mine for 50k a few months ago ><

Ninja is expensive but manageable, just take a job high enough that you can farm effienciently. I can make around 60k in 1 night of farming which allows me to lvl NIN for about a week b4 I have to farm again.

Depending on the PT type, up untill 37 you'll be using more or less 150 shihei a level, and depending how rich you are, probably a stack of sairui-ran and kaginawa or jusatsu every 2 levels. I like to use Kurayami and Hojo since they seem to give the most aggro, you will only be using these once a fight maybe twice if resisted. Utsusemi though you will be using anywhere from 3-5 a fight before 37. So you will run through them faster.

well i use quite a bit of tools, i dont like being stingy.

Figure post lvl 37, i use 1 stack of hojo and Jubaku per lvl and about 2.5-3 stacks of shihie per lvl now ( 46 ) , just takes time to farm.. who wants to lvl all day anyways. I suggest getting the hairpin, Fed Tekko is nice, along with the khyans as well. Go with + DEx gear, the extra criticals help with keeping hate. Etc,

When it comes to the elemental Ninjutsu, which ones are worth always having with you? And the other ones like Hojo, Kurayami, Dokumori, and Jubaku, which ones are definetly must-haves?

Any tips on using Shurikens?

And one more question

If i was to count how much ninjitsu is, this is how much i'd count it
Utsusemi is about 1 stack/4k xp so 5k.
I'll count about 20k xp
So that makes 20-25k on Utsusemi
Powders that I use once a fight (nukes rarly twice)
Kaginawa -slow 10k/99
Saruirai ran -blind 6k/99
(bear with me on my spelling)
Tsuara - 1k/99 Ice damage for MB distortion
Kawahori-ogi-5.5k/99 wind damabe for Mb fagmantation and weakens ice for distortion
mizu-deepu 5k/99 water damge- weakens thunder for distortion

so for about 20k xp
a level from 55-60 (of spells i use)
it would cost approximatly 50k
but my static has a thf, so if you don't, you might have to spam some more nukes

for fame in norg, you need pretty high norg fame to quest the Ninja scrolls
You can do the zinc ore quest 30 times, thats around 300 gil each ore, and you get 350 back for trading 4, so you will lose gil
best to spend a few days in Giddues farming yag bead neckalces to trade in, 200 for 4 I think it is, around 50 times you will have enough fame and small profit to fo the ninja scroll quest
