Ninjutsu magic skill use?

Well as I use U:I it levels it up every once in a while, but what part of U:I is it affecting?

I'm guessing it helps with the power of the elemental spells, but I'm hoping that it may help with lowering the interruption rate on U:I. >_<

It gets interrupted too easily.

At lowlevel if the monster even looks at you funny I think it interrupts casting :p

Higher ninjitsu skill helps your chances of continuing a ninjitsu cast after being hit, and increases enfeeble type ninjitsu success rate.
Using just utsusemi at lower levels usually isnt enough to cap skill because you level so fast - I used to throw a hyoton:ichi at least once or twice a fight to skillup quicker before I got the Ni elementals at 40.
