Failures of Blink?

Two questions:

1) LS friend of mine was saying bats see through blink. He was fighting a Seeker Bat and had blink up, it still hit him. Anyone can confirm/deny this?

2) I know AOE effects will remove all your blink images instantly. But does that apply to status AOE effects or only damage? Let's say Gobbie Bomb will damage and thus remove all your blinks. Will a Mandrago's AOE sleep do that as well?

Your friend probably got hit with jetstream without all shadows on, jetstream will eat 3 shadows because its considered a single target multi-hit ws.

There are a few ae effects that dont take blink out, some are usually direction based attacks - exoray dark spore, crawler poison spray, scorpion sandstorm dont kill blink off in one go or hit you ignoring shadows, it varies with monster, havent blink tanked a goblin in ages i am pretty certain blink stays through an explosion and you take damage still. Tanking too many damn beetle,crab,crawler made me forget about other monsters a bit :p

Unfortunatly, Goblin bomb's damage everyone even if any kind of blink is up..

In my experience, AoE skills (like bomb toss, tigers' paralyze skill, etc) will hit through Utsusemi, but won't touch any of its images.

AoE spells (poisonga, firaga, banishga, etc) will cause you to lose all remaining images and take the damage.

Most single-target abilities and all single-target spells will be absorbed by Utsusemi; abilities will register as a 'miss', and spells will show the 'shadow' line.

Some single-target abilities (gazers' death ray comes to mind) will always hit through Utsusemi, but won't touch any of its images, like an AoE skill. All direction-based abilities (like that one tiger ability, don't remember its name... cyclone claws?) will hit through Utsusemi, but not take images (as far as I know - there might be an exception).

I've never blink tanked monsters with multi-hit skills, so I'll have to take Navia's word on that.
