I am going to try to be a nin/drg when the game finally comes out in the uk but is this a good choice. i went on the stat calculator and it looked good but that is all i know :sweat: :spin: :dead: :mad: :p Excuse My smiles

This combo isn't good. The mix of abilities is terrible. Sub DRG offers little in the useful ability department. But if you are dead set on the combination, use the search feature. There are countless posts made by people insisting on ineffective job combos being effective, and countless people explaining to them why they are wrong.

Or the short answer : the only truly viable sub to a NIN is WAR (presently).

I'm going to warn you guy, Dragoon is the most useless sub choice in the entire game I think, at any level. Even /Brd has some limited use as Rdm/Brd when there's no Bard around, and as Rng you get Wide Scan for hunting usage and can still use some Ranged weapon skills and abilities. As /Drg you literally get nothing useful. You get no Wyvern, you get no Super Jump, no particularly impressive stat raises. All you get is Jump, and eventually High Jump way down the line, and neither of those two abilities serve any purpose to anyone but a Dragoon whatsoever, especially a Ninja. Yeah, you can pretend you're a "I can jump 100 feet" Ninja with this combo, but the damage subbed jump does is gimpy, you never get the ability to shed hate with Super Jump (And Ninja's don't want that anyways) and the Wyvern, one of the central aspects of the Dragoon can't be used as a sub at all. Your Wyvern, Spear abilities, and Super Jump are what Dragoon's are best known for and you get absolutely none of them subbing it.

Best way to think of sub combo's is it isn't combining two jobs equally into one, its adding new abilities to your main job that help its central purpose the most. Some subs are just better than others, and some are quite useless, /Drg marks really high on that list.

So run down, it doesn't boost your attack at all, it doesn't boost agility much, it gives you 1 and eventually 2 abilities that are absolutely useless to a Ninja. I really wouldn't sub /Drg of all jobs if I were you. I can't think of a single job that /Drg goes with well at all, not even War/Drg. Its really stuck as a main job.

Maybe not as gimp as PLD/BRD, but still quite gimp.

On a gimpness scale of 1-10, with 1 being PLD/BRD and 10 being PLD/WAR, I'd give NIN/DRG a 3.

I guess some desperate group will take you as a sort of gimp damage dealer when they can't find a DRG or DRK to fill a damage dealer spot (and pigs will fly the day when not even one DRG or DRK or SAM or MNK or RNG or etc. isn't LFG)

No, Nin/Drg is more gimped than Pld/Brd. With Pld/Brd you can refresh your MP with balled, and keep hate with magic. Nin/Summoner would even be better than /Drg, at least you'd get some cool abilities, some that might even be semi-useful.

I too have noticed America's incorrect grammar trend. We have the famous 'emoticons', adding an emotion to an otherwise emotionless sentence and 'txt' lingo which deterriorates the language. Language such as, STFU,LOL, b4, c u, etc.
I bow to the declining schools of America and the fall of the education system to modern powers!
