It all depands on you Guild lvls. Makin powders is the way to go if you have decently lvled guilds. Personaly i can make 66-99 shihei per synth with is WAAAY better than buying. LOL but as a guilder i do enjoy all the ninjas that buy my stuff when i make too much^^Smithing 68

Shihei prices jumped from 4k to 5k-5,500 now - it must be ballista, any other servers notice this?
Hojo powder is anywhere from 12-16k a stack ; ; - I really need to make this stuff myself, I carry 2 stacks at a minimum when I go to xp.
Once I can wear my AF body I am going to stop leveling until I can make all powders myself. All Ic an make on my own right now is dokumori powder which I don't go through that fast, and of course tsurara which I can't HQ synth that often >.>
The xp per level is getting pretty high and that means much more gil spent per level if you rely on the AH to get supplies.

I've got about 300k right now, any crafters have a guess how far that would get me towards getting HQ synths on shihei?

Woodworking is pretty cheap. You'll probably need around 50-60 to get much in the way of HQs; I rarely get them at 45 (am considering levelling it further, but I don't know...).
There's some info on skillup paths in the crafting & synthesis forum, I think, so just look around in there.Comment
