New Dual Wield + Equip

With the new patch, it looks like a new Dual Wield piece of equip was added.

Suppanomimi, a level 72 earring.
All Jobs
+2 Agility, +5 Sword Skill, +Dual Wield effect.

Shame it doesn't boost katana instead of sword, but that's still a nice addition for a Nin.Â_Â_Another .05 boost to DW I suppose?

It's Rare/EX though, so it's probably pretty hard to get, is it a Dynamis drop?

If it's for all jobs, does that mean any job wearing it can get the dual wield trait? Other +ability equipment works like that, to the best of my knowledge...

If so, any THFs (and maybe RNGs) with that earring would probably want to sub WAR... but maybe they'd continue to use /NIN for the faster attack speed.

Well, maybe but the level 1 DW modifier is:
(Wpn 1 dly + Wpn 2 dly)/2 *.9 correct?

Usually, every other level of DW gives -.05. So if the earrings gave -.05, it'd still only be half as effective as DW1 in terms of attack speed.

lol. I hope its not a dynamis drop. Anyway, at lvl 72 ninja can stack haste like no other job. If you plan on goin that far with ninja, i would get JSE ring and earring while you can. Latent effects may suck in pt, but solo/farming they rock. Just make a equip macro and you will be fine. So far at 72 you can have 50% haste in yellow hp, with2 DW additions. Far as i can see it, in the right hands that could be deadly. Although S-E didnt add anything mindblowing to ninja in the last patch these new equip have gave me somthin to work for. Now I have to figure out what guild makes the wind fans..GOD i hope is Smithing, so far that guild can make any of the elemental weapons^^

I saw a ninja with the earring last night,
I also noticed he had haste boots,belt and pants (i didnt know there was 6% haste pants yeesh), scorp harness +1- bomb queen ring, the 50hp ring and other ridiculously hard to get HNM stuff.
I dont think the earring will be easy to come by ;x

No he was JP ninja in a HNM LS I have only run into 1 highlevel NA Ninja (65+)so far compared to the 128789119 highlevel NA PLD's :p.

I have seen other 70+ ninja not in HNM LS and they usually have nothing special beyond peacock charm, scorp harness and optical hat.

The latent effect gear does look pretty nice to swap in if you farm with a mage sub, at higher levels when you could safely keep your hp low enough for the effects to activate and mitigate any incoming damage with stoneskin/phalanx/regen.

hrm... with enough stuff on and latent effects running, just what would the delay modifer be anyway? I've lost count now. Before it used to be .65 at the very most but guess with these 2 new things, that gets chopped to .55 ?? throw on the haste equipment and we're looking at what? hits so fast you'd have more TP than sam even with meditate

the mobs would probably call a GM and report you for hitting them so fast
