    If you all noticed WAR replaces NIN at 74 a tank for anything due to more defense and power and now being able to tank perfectly like a ninja. Someone day messaged me about "Utsusemi: San" but I said I havn't heard of it. I remember before Fenrir was added the following command did not give an error.

    /ma "Fenrir" <me>

    I decided to do.

    /ma "Utsusemi: San" <me>

    Guess what, no error! I also tried it for all the other NIN spells.

    Then I visited some JPN sites and found they have Utsusemi: San listed but while asking in-game most people havn't heard of it.

    So has S-E decided to rebalance ninja and to make it more powerufl then warrior? How long before they add it to drops or quest for these new 3rd level skills?

    I just can't wait because if Utsusemi: San is anything like Ni then tanking will be super easy!

    Yes there is a San version for most of the ninjitsu already programmed but it is not active yet. I doubt SE will activate them unless they do some major tinkering with the Ninja job. Activating the San version now without making any other changes would make Ninjas way to powerful, so they have to nerf something to activate the San ninjitsu. Also, a WAR/NIN at lvl 75 will be able to blink tank but won't have the same evasion and throwing ability as a NIN/WAR.

      The way I see it is Nin/War and War/Nin both do the same thing but do it differently. So both have distinct uses. Ninja mains with that crazy evasion and Ni Ninjutsu can dodge the enemy a lot more, keeping the enemy at bay a lot better. Ofcourse AOE's are problems for all Ninja's. But Warrior's can probably take AOE's a lot better, and if a Monster starts going really hardcore War/Nin can afford to take a couple of hits. Ofcourse they can't blink tank for nearly as long as a Ninja can and the other Ninjutsu they do have isn't as effective. I can see clear, distinct uses for both of them in certain situations.

      Besides...its like..one level. I hardly think Ninja's need to worry just yet about being replaced. They arn't completely gimped by War/Nin's and even so, its at 74 only. If the level cap is raised things will be added to each class no doubt. 80/40's gonna be a really interesting thing to see when it comes one day in the distant (or maybe not) future. How are some of those job combo's going to be balanced out? ESPECIALLY Any mage/Rdm. Convert as a subbable job ability.. :spin:

        I havn't been an evasion ninja since 40...
        I just spam Blink but all my gear is ATK is except hairpin and 2 dodge earring

        But at 72 switched to evasion tanks to Rasetsu

        It really is nice to evade but it makes spamming very hard especially if the monster attacks fast..

        Start casting Ichi and find the monster misses you and you dont have time to cancel manually. Or you cancel manually and the monster hits you.

        Anyway I can't wait for San but some JPN site said it was level 62 but I highly doubt it.

            Sann line of ninjustu has been Programmed for a LONG LONG time. It was released and apatch last year, but never implemented. I can see where Utsuseme: Sann would make ninja unbalanced, but the elemental and status de-buffs....c-mon. As it is Ninja gets nothing new after 44 (with the exception of a few WS). OH, and about War/Nin cant throw like Nin main...I have tried EXTENSIVE Pt with stars and the results all lead in one direction. If you wanna hit totetote+ and above with your stars you cant tank. reasons being, 1 even with the help of Hunters song from bard AND alot of rng acc + equip (+43 Rng acc) you will not hit, 2 inorder to hit and be efficeint in damage/throw you will need to sub RNG. I tried subbing my lvl 10 RNG and the results where good, but that throws tanking out the window. As you get higher enemies DONT miss. That is unless you have +60 or so evasion (this is goin off chaining totetote, chaining tote dont count) Personally i would like ninja to change from being a tank, it just seems like a waste. Ninja has so many other things it CAN do, but unless your in a pt with friends your ninja is gonna be stuck with war or thf sub. Also this new ability they are adding, I have a bad feeling that it will be a hate reducing ability (MNK's need that) Every ninja may be excited B/c its a new ability, but if it reduces hate then the balance of ninja will be thrown off in the game. Odd isnt it, the things they choose to keep out will help balance ninja, but the things they are adding will upset the balance lol.

              I was in a game store with a friend of mine, he wanted to get something. But anyways, I was looking at BradyGames' updated strategy guide for FFxi. Not the most accurate guide, and this second version wasn't that different other than updated lists, and slightly better information. But one interesting thing is in the Ninja section, Dokumori Ni and Jubaku Ni are actually listed in the spell listing (levels 52 and 54) Does that maybe mean they're going to be added very soon?


              I agree with Mitsu, probably the easiest and most efficient way to help Ninja's out is to just allow Sann Ninjutsu...minus Utsusemi. Thats it, problem solved for now. They're already in the game so its minimal effort, all they'd need to do is program what drops the scrolls and thats it. I understand that the whole Utsusemi thing is delicate, thats something that'll have to be solved eventually but for now, the Sann elementals and Enfeebles just wouldn't hurt at all. Just leave Utsusemi Sann out for now. I can't even understand why Doku and Juba Ni haven't been put in up to now.(hopefully) It makes no sense. :confused:

                If you wanna se Doku and Juba Ni go and finght Some tonberrys in Uggeliph -.-. I personaly like to fight them at a distance with my stars...throat stab is a farmers NIGHTMARE

                    Oh I see how it is, give Big Bird's fricken cousins the last two Ni spells, but don't give the Player character's them...

                    ....I'm sorry guys, they're not releasing it because I'm Taru.

                    At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if Doku and Juba Ni were released with Subtle Blow this next patch.

                    I don't know what they'll do with the Sann spells, but I still think it'd be best if they released Tonko, the Attack Ninjutsu, and the enfeebling Ninjutsu Sann's for the high levels to compete, and just leave Utsusemi Sann out until they come to some sort of conclusion.
                    Even that may be asking quite a bit though, as it stands it seems like quite a few jobs right now are lacking late level abilities and spells. It just seems like even the high level types don't get too much new other than new armor options and Weapon Skills. I'd love Sann Ninjutsu but I can't complain too much when the poor Samurai get practically nothing special after 30 in way of job abilities. Those Samurai in my opinion need something new really bad. ; ;

                    When the level cap increases again (Personally I have a hunch it may not happen again until another expansion is released for certain reasons) ALL the jobs are going to need some serious additions to balance out the levels after magical 60. Samurai are practically defunct at that point, Thieves no longer have they're combat niche totally exclusive, the rest of the melee's have very little going after 60 and now Ninja's are in danger of having the role player's gave them stolen by Warriors. (No wonder they're releasing Doku and Jubaku Ni now probably realizing that. Will it be enough though?)

                    I wonder what they'll do to all the classes in maybe 6 months. Thats if there's even another expansion even being planned.
