saw gil for 1-60, how bout 1-30

i saw the post on how much gil it would take to get to lvl 60. i was wondering how much gil it would taketo get a nin to level 30. i'm not sure if i want to play nin or stay pld, so i was thinkin about takin a break from pld and giving nin a test run. so i was wondering about how much it would cost to level a nin to 30 if i quest for fame rather than buy things like utsusemi at the AH.

before lvl 37 don't expect to be doing much tanking, so you're not gonna be spending much. 1 stack of shihei is probalby gonna last you a few lvls

I am only level 14 but a stack of Shihei lasts me about 2 levels depending on my groups. Right now I am in Valkrum so groups there can get a little unbalanced which can either save me gil or cost me more.

1 stack of shihei lasted me 12-17 ^^ and I used them a lot after a while. Once per pull, once in between battles.

i think i priced everything out including the spells + wpns at around 200k to 30...

but half the ninjas on this forum are just wannabe's anyways so they get away with spending like 5k from 1-30


depends how fast u wanna get to 30 really.. could be alot could be a little.

I'm figuring 300K or so will take me to 30. I've probably spent about 30K so far on ninja tools (24 atm), and I'm saving up to buy an Emperor Hairpin currently, along with chain mail and getting my guilds high enough to synth bast parchment. As soon as I've got that done, I'm going to go back to levelling. If you skip the hairpin or hunt it yourself, you can reduce a lot of the cost. =X

My estimate might be generous, since that also factors in some gil for levelling alchemy, though I'm doing my best to conserve as much gil as possible through it.

I also tend to carry a stack for at least one type of elemental ninjutsu, though it doesn't seem to do very much - it's nice to skill up ninjutsu when I get a chance. ^^ I usually carry at least one full or nearly-full stack of Shihei (if I'm down to like, 30, I'll grab a new stack), and my Shinobi-tabi, which I've had since I got Tonko.... still have about 80 of those left. :3

I've spent at least 500k on shiheis, shurikens, and elemental/status ninjustsu bags for my ninja from levels 12 to 34. These are sunk costs which I will never get back (but I managed to save about 100k by doing the quests for some of the scrolls.) As far as money for equipment goes I have spent roughtly 250k, but I can get this money back since it's just a matter of reselling items in the AH. So overall 750k.

hehe i spent around 450k on equipment for nin at around lvl 40. they're right about not really using much shihei before 37. i'm up to lvl 48 sofar and i'm poor, that doesn't bode well for the nin. so yeah, time for a somewhat temporary career change. maybe someday when i can afford it i'll go back to it (would really like to get 49 for those friggin shorts!). :p
