I am a Taru BLM.. my question is, could I be a NIN in the future? Would low HP hurt my chances of success?

Taru can be a good NIN as long as you have enough gil for the constant stream of Utsusemi~

The Tarutaru arn't outclassed at every melee job there is. :D The Elvaan, Galka, Hume etc may have a foothold on the melee jobs in general, but the Tarutaru are considered excellent at the speed based jobs, Ranger, Thief, and Ninja. Tarutaru Agility is second only to the Mithra, and its not far behind them at all. Agility in the Ninja job is a good thing. A very, very good thing.
