yes, i have utsu, spent 30,000 or so on zinc ores when i was still using thief (cheap riceballs, yay!)

so yes, whatever i'm a n00b/newb/noob/ waste of a job disgrace to all things ninja blah blah~

i'm trying to think of meaningful ways for you to spend your time, as opposed to sitting on forums, based on what i know about you from these posts... i'll get back to you on that, in the meantime try and take up yoga or tai chi or something

Well as for NIN with /WAR or /THF I like /WAR cause White Mages waste very little mp I mean they rarely do cures, I find that real cool saves alot downtime. As for /THF I only see it shine at lvl 60 just for the trick imo. below lvls you'll deal less dmg compared to /war you'll have good DEX though. Some jobs just have there reasons... like PLD/WAR you'll really get a pt if your /mnk /thf witha Paladin. Your looking to help out the Party so everyone gets kick ass Exp. But play as you like if your happy thats all that matters :sweat: As for hocuspocus dude clam it down it looks your going to kill everyone here :sweat: let them play what they want not good calling people newbie just because of level difference.

Hm. People really need to get off the whole controversy about nin/thf vs. nin/war. Neither side sees fit to hear the opinions of the other people.

Val (Maxim) is right. Only reason I'm high level and can say I did it with nin/thf is because I got into a set PT with a few friends. However, the part about inviting with thief sub is only partially true (in no way putting you down, buddy). Majority of the PTs that invited my nin/thf were totally fine with me keeping it as thief sub- I asked if they'd rather me sub war, they said no. This is because majority of the JP PTs that invited me already had a pld to tank. I'd say something along the lines of "I have a really good reputation as a nin/thf" but, that's not true... Cause I really don't know if I do.

Basically, I'll agree with the nin/wars in this scenario that they are definately the way to go to be the most efficient ninja you can be at this point in time as the game is as Square Enix made it. All other nin/___ combo's are just some off side-job that's not as commonly accepted as it's cookie-cutter brothers (nin/war, war/mnk, whm/blm, blm/whm, mnk/war, etc.). I can say that the ratio of invites for nin/thf to nin/war is probably comparable to the ratio of invites for whm/smn to whm/blm. Don't ask why, that was just my opinion.

To sum this whole reply up for people who are lazy and didn't read it in the first place:
Just get off the nin/war vs. nin/thf debate, it takes everyone to a place of absolute nothingness.... Besides, it makes Holy Mary, mother of God, feel dirty.

Vivid's right, and he reminded me of something I have to bring up in this thread at least once.

The Japanese player's do tend to favor job combo's like Nin/War and Thf/Nin etc, but if someone once in a while actually uses Nin/Thf, Thf/Sam, Nni/Rdm etc they don't go all crazy and high and mighty and demand that person sub something more common or else they'll get flamed with endless n00b commentary and won't be invited ever. While I know for certain there are Japanese players who do this too in a more quieter fashion, but in general they're a lot more lenient with unusual job combo's than English speaking player's tend to be. And they're the ones that set trendy combo's like Nin/War and Drg/Sam in the first place usually. I'm not saying they're better than Englsih speakers or anything, opening up that sensitive subject, but what I'm saying is that maybe a lot of english speaking players (and maybe non even) should take a hint from this, and not come down so hard and personal on people for something so trivial as a job combination. It just takes so much of the fun of the game out for others and just ends up making you look like an egotistical selfish prick. The more workable job combinations should be heeded and not ignored, but if someone does something else and you have this overwhelming urge to call that person a n00b, just do the game a favor and keep it to yourself. There's a difference between guiding someone to tell them that So/So is optimal, and attempting to ram So/So down someone's throat using yourself as the model to aspire to be.

Like Rdm/Nin at least functions, maybe if they were duel wielding mp draining dagger's it could even be pretty decent. But ofcourse its options arn't nearly as good as Rdm/Blm in general.

I will say though, that sub options become really, really boxed in 30-59, and in some cases beyond that. Anyone is free to try whatever they want but some Combo's just can't offer the best they can, at least without great difficulty You can try what you want by all means, to see for yourself. But be prepared for the scenerio that your job combo just won't get anywhere at a certain point. At least, not without great difficulty.

pick a side man, you either agree with the newbies or you don't.

you post the same sort of thing with every book you write. get some new material or stop taking up a half page to a page per post. jesus.

1. YES, nin/war is the way to go to be the most productive type of ninja
2. YES, i am only high level because I was lucky enough to get into a set PT with a group of friends who didn't care -too much- about my thief sub.
