A Ninja's important stats

Hmm....Sadly Ragnarok is home to FEW Ninjas that I can discuss this topic with><;;. I have been a Ninja for a good while and i have tried out MANY different sets of equipment. At one point I decided to make my ninja the "ulltimate blink tank" sooooooo I went and loaded my nin up on +evasion equip. All in total at lvl 54 i had +30 evasion in daytime and +40 at night (Nin AF rulles^^). After a few PT I was like "This amount of evasion is nice , but its not worth it. SO phase 2------ I decided to buff my agi so that i can augment my evasion skill and my throwing skill. For a little while i was satisfied I had +18 Agi. I was dodging more and my throwing acc was greatly inproved. So i said to myself " Before I settle for this let me try one more setup" SO just yesterday I purchased a sniper ring and a life belt ( would have been 2 sniper rings but seeing as the price has went up from 240k to 300k!!!! I had to settle for one. The results were just about the same with my agi setup, but i feel as if im doing more for my PT lol^^. The THINGS I strive to do with my NIN are

1. Keep LOTS of hate
2. Deal constant damage
3. Be able to cycle blinks without getting tagged too often lol

As far as keeping hate i found that having a high throwing skill creates more hate than a melee attack, also flashing my ninjutsu stacks hate as well as dealing decent damage every cycle.
Please, To all ninjas of this forum what do you feel best suits you when you PT
Also has anyone been able to cap thier throwing skill at lvl 48+
and use those Lv 48 D68 stars..I would really like to know the damage they can bring in seeing as Nin af add +20 to throw damage^^

sorry for the long post, but the fact that i see alot of people neglecting this wonderfull job agitates me lol. I literally get 10+ tells a day asking "Why are you a NIN they suck, they CANT do damage and all they can do is tank. OHH YEAH the thing that upsets me the most is people saying you MUST sub war with your nin or you will suck. I proceed to look at thier lvl and im like

Heh, another NIN from Rag, cool. Anyways, I've just gotten to the point of Partial Godliness (level 37) and I'm just getting use It's new abilities, but sadly my equip isn't where i want it to be at yet. I'm in the process of getting all the evasion+ gear I can get. But sadly, Ninjitsu has burnt a pretty big hole in my pocket if you know what i mean, and I won't be able to get the worthwile gear for a couple days or something.

Right now i'm leveling up in Qufim, so i dont think the NA parties are too anal about evasion and agi stuff. But at later level, i guess those stats will make or break your chance of getting into parties.

So i wont be farming or NM hunting until circa 30. From there, i want to pick up Jujitsu Gi(100k), Uchiodo Kote(sp? 385k ), Fuma Kyahan(cheap), and some leg part. Lizzy please drop some boots for me

Hmmm After lvl 37 you will find that the second level blink nuinjutsu will cut down on your need for evasion alot. The only reason i stack evasion as i do is to make the 7 sec window in between blink cycles less dangerous. This only applies to mobs that are extremly accurate and fast. BTW when you get into pt make sure to stress the importance of Blind/Paralize/Slow on all mobs , those 3 stat spells are a nins greatest ally^^. Also one final tip..when you get to the point when you fight mandras and your the main tank, dont even waste your time being a 100% blink tank. Any MNK type mob is like a nightmare to a nin sadly

why people dont play nin

mitsu, i think the only reason people arent playing this "wonderful job" is they don't have the gil for it. i've only had one real opportunity to party with a blink tank and man are they incredible. rarely rarely got hit. battle were basically miss, miss, parry, miss, shadow absorbs damage, miss, parry. i'm still farely new and i want to be a ninja, but sadly do to the cost, i may end up playing paladin. i'm going to give ninja a shot but when my gil starts running out, i may have to switch

Dont give up on the dream man. Blink tanking is costly yes, but its not impossibly so. Especially at higher levels. After about 40 or so you can gil farm in a couple hours the shihei and whatever other powders you need for your next level. And before then you wont be doing a lot of full blink tanking anyway. But like you witnessed yourself the pay off is worth it if you're into being a tank. Nothing better than having a good reputation as a blink tank ninja. At my level now, i have to turn away party invites just so i can spare a hour or so to farm, thats how much a decent blink tank is in demand. And when you do a good job, people will select you over pld anyday. Its a great feeling to be needed and respected for doing your job and doing it well^^ I'm sure Mitsu will agree.

hell ya.. my reputation among manY JP is rather good as a tank, however that closes the door on my other sub im workin which would be THF. Even though I have a solid plan for maintaning hate, tank and do damage the likelyhood of most my JP wanting me to sub THF is next to zero all because Im a good tank with /WAR. So its a kinda double edged sword so to speak><

dont let the newbies who say ninja suck get you down, they obviously know nothing of the class to even make such a stupid comment.


go play in a group with a paladin, watch them very closely.
youll probably notice the WHM dumping all the mana on them.

wow thats useful.

we are the superior tank. we also deal more damage than paladins if done correctly.

face it, paladins are nothing more than broke ninjas who can heal themselves.



ninja is not about dealing damage its about preventing it. do your job well and your PT will commend you for it.
