Ok, i have a few ideas that I am interested in recieving some input on. I was wondering if a Rdm would make a good sub for ninja in terms f dealing damage through elemental weakness and speed.
I have heard a lot about how ninjas are "supposed" to use utsusemi and tank but could the enfeeble line of ninjitsu + rdm elemental enhancers deal damage efficiently?
Say you started off casting enfire, blaze spikes, and any form of defence (stonekin, phalanx etc.). Then you used Hyoten: ichi i beleive it is and deal ice damage and make them weak to fire. Dual wield katanas or swords or whatever and quickly damage the monster with fire elements which you hae now made it weak to. In my exprience i can only get enthunder to do 0-3dmg against crabs, but im only lvl 22. Would the dmg increase enuf to make an elemntal ninja a sufficient damage dealer? I said use blaze spikes but I did not mean you should be tanking =). Should aggro turn to you could blaze spikes which will deal its weakness and protect #_ + shell #_ + Stoneskin + phalanx + utsusemi make you somewhat less of a chance to die?
With that said I do realize that a nin/rdm will not tank with loss of provoke, def up, natural vitality, defender??? and such. I am only talking survivability.
Also I'm wondering if Rdm/nin would be suitable. All the spells and abilities of rdm plus the bare minimum of ninjitsu. With rdm as sub you would also get haste and not sure if this is correct but, better rank in 1 handed swords? From what I have noticed (again may not be correct) but swords are stringer with slightly more delay than katanas. Although the loss of the last dual wield enhancement may offset this and the damage from katanas+full dualwield may be better... not sure...

From my experience as a 29NIN/14RDM I'm leveling around Kazham right now. I get invites on a regular basis and usually see a few fellow NIN's in the area. I use either two katanas or one sword and one katana. Right now I'm using 2 Busuto's and a Gladius. I think that when I hit 30 I get enthunder, but I'm just assuming. I've got cure 2 right now and about 80ish MP with equips since I'm a Taru. My cure 2 does 72 healing so I can usually save a mages life so they don't have to cast heal on themsleves if a WAR doesnt voke in time. I have rule of resting between battles for mp that helps me out: only /heal when I have less or at 30% TP. I thinks this works well because NIN's tend to build TP at a fast rate. I really like BLM's in my PT's because then my elemental ninjutsu really shines. Also, mp restoring juices are GREAT to have.
