Well you can make it your primary job but it would be a lvl 1 in which u would have 1 regular sub job. If u had your lvl 30 job as your sub job it would still be lvl1main, lvl1 sub. Until u level up your main and then it will level up with you. Now you can keep your main job thats at lvl 30 and level up ninja if it were your support job. Your sub job can only be half as much as your main job. For examlple my level 40 thief has a sub of a ninja at level 20. Now you can still level your sub to lets say 40 and just keep on leveling your main so you will never have to level your support again. Because of the level cap that is. You still with me? You now owe me a total of 5 million servings of ramen. Thank you for your business

the way you explained that, it sounds almost as if you were saying that you can level ninja even with it as a sub job. I thought you could only level jobs when they're your main ones.Alright.... who farted?

Alrighty, ill try and put it into lamo terms. For instance, im a lvl 18 thief. When i do sub job quest i want to be a warrior. So when i use both jobs i will be a lvl 18 thief/lvl 1 warrior. Now if i want to level up warrior i will have to make it my main job. But u must remember the sub job can only be 1/2 of your main job. So when i level up warrior it goes like this 1:1 , 2:1, 3:1, 4:2, etc...now at the end i can be a lvl 36 war/lvl 18 thief since its half of war. I wont even have to lvl it up becuase i already did it earlier in the game before i got the sub job quest. Understand? Maybe i should find some one who can talk a little better in english (:

ok let me try and explain this a little clearer. (cus even im a little cunfused by the wording of the last few posts) You can change your job at any time in your mog house and you will not lose the levels you gained in the preivious class. so you could start as a thif and level it to 5 then switch to warrior and level it to 18 then switch back to thif and still be 5th level in that class. (Understand so far?) So now at 18th level you complete the subjob quest. This meens that you can sub a second job to enchance the abilitys of your main job but it can only be up to 1/2 the level of your main. so using the above example having warrior leveled to 18 and theif leveled to 5 you could be a war/thif 18/5 or a thif/war 5/2. now you are still a 18th level warrior but when subbing it to a lower level main job it will be reduced to 1/2 your main jobs level.
ok you still with me?
So now for you original question. You reach lvl 30 in one class and complete the ninja quest. You now have the ability to change to the ninja job in your mog house using it as either a main or sub job and able to switch back and forth freely. You will start as a lvl 1 ninja as you do with any other job and are cappable of leveling it as you would any other job.
Does this make things any clearer.
(oh yeah and sorry for the bad spelling its 4am)You forgot the most important rule of combat. You?re the ugly macho bad guy, everyone knows the macho bad guy can?t win especially when he?s fighting the exceptionally handsome and popular main character. Your death was inevitable as soon as you showed up with that ugly face. ~Bastard
