  • Ninja/Paladin?

I know this sounds horrible... but hear me out.

Ninjas are really only good at using a one-handed katana in one hand, and nothing in the other. Which, IMO, kind of sucks, because even though Dual Wield isn't very good, it's at least something.

So, I was thinking that a Ninja with a weapon skill boost for 1-h swords from a Paladin (seeing that they have an A+ in 1-h sword). This way, using dual 1-h swords would be fairly practical, and decent to boot.

However, I know that Paladin adds almost nothing to the class. Almost no magic, and defense you don't need.

Still, I'm wondering if this is somewhat practical.

    Thanks in advance.

Hullo? Anyone know if this would at least be a usable combo, and if it would make using 1-h swords practical?

the combination would not be good for a cuple of reasons. 1. ninjas primarily use katanas there is really not a great reason to use a 1H sword over a katana except maybe for renkei but other ppl in the group could do that or you could because the difference in weapons rank woudlent reallty make a huge difference. Also the point of dual wield is mainly to gain a stat bonus from the other weapons you dont attack harder or more often so i dont think it would be at all practical to sub a class solely to help one of your job skills. That would be like subbing paladin on thief because it is easier to steal and run away with a sub who has more vit. maybe a crazy example but whatever. i think there are mnay better subs to suit the purpose of ninja

Yeah, nin/pld is basically an invitation to a PT-less life. ^_^
