Finally dragged my lazy ass out to Gusgen Mines last night and beat the tar out of the Wandering Ghost. Picked up a Darksteel Ore en route, too. (woot)
Anyway, I used my 62 RDM/BLM. I couldn't Silence or Dispel him. He resisted Dispel twice, so I figure he's 100% resistent. Normal resist rate on even IT++ mobs is like 0.1%, and considering I'm a higher level than the NM, 2 resists in a row is unfathomable even being a dark-based mob. Silence resisted twice, so I Elemental Seal + Silenced him, still resisted. The same happened with the RDM AF1, and at the time I had a 70WHM/BLM attempt to ES+Silence on him.
I had Shell III and Barblizzard on, the former to protect against his nukes and the latter to protect against his Ice Spikes, that I couldn't Dispel. I got paralyzed once for one attack round during the entire fight. He did seem to stick with water nukes.
I called my healer NPC prior to popping the mob because I wasn't sure what to expect. I was at full HP thanks to Stoneskin and Phalanx, so she expended her MP trying to debuff the mob and was resisted everytime. She ate it pretty quick because he spammed Waterga.
Technically it was a party of 2, and experience was based off of me being 62. I got 15xp, the miner's pendant, and an ice crystal when I defeated him. Based off (old) XP charts, that puts the NM 10 levels lower than me, or 52. Whether the experience changes in the past year change this, I do not know.
I was in a rush, so I warped and logged after defeating the NM. I'll get the Beat Cesti from Bastok tonight and promptly discard them.
