Re: Reasons why to become a mnk

MNK is definately a great job I have nothing against it. Mine is at level 38 and I do love the job DD is my thing but I was just trying to express the stigma that everyone has with MNK . Once you get 60 though I hear its a breeze. I think MNK is a great damage dealer and when I have a pt I will invite a MNK if they are available. If you want to take a DD job to 75 MNK would be a good choice cause a 75 merited monnk is a force to be reconed with.

I only played MNK to ten but it's fun once you realize that you bash mobs with just your bare hands. Hopefully, I'll level it once my war is lvl 30.

        Not bare hands, I hope.

Anyway, if it was up to me IRL I'd rather confront an enemy with an axe than my bear hands, assuming a life or death situation. However, in the game my fists seem to do more damage, so....punch punch kick it is.

That's one reason I stated I like Monk type jobs in games so much. Seems so much cooler to confront enemies with just your fists and feet as opposed to an axe or sword or something, at least to me. And that's what Monks do :D

Dunno about that Dry.. I had finally decided to go unlock Dragoon.. and got to the final scene, and didn't realize it was level capped... (or just forgot), and didn't have anything to fight with..

So I wiped out ol' Dragon boy with just bare hands, missing the record by only a few seconds...

It's not level-capped. And you'll ALWAYS do more damage with H2H weapons equipped. ALWAYS.

Also, it's a level 30 mob. You probably could have killed it with a Chi Blast.

A cookie cutter is a monk's archnemesis and should be punched accordingly.
