hey guys, did a search on the forums about this NM, and it seems from what that info was saying, and what im hearing from others in game, there seems to be a lot of controversy on how many people you need to take him down.

thread on here, a person mentioned a high lvl pt of 6 can take him, whereas im hearing anywhere from 8-18 people to kill him in game.

any thoughts? <.< >.>

I beat this not too long ago with: 75PLD (me), 73SAM, 73WHM, 71MNK, and 65 BLM.

Ended up using all of our 2 hours (except maybe the BLM...can't remember). Also, brought along Yag drinks for Refresh. Would have lost without those. Tanked with Earth Staff.

Its not too bad of a fight and I'd assume it would be better with a well equipped MNK. The one with us was missing alot due to his sister jacking his sniper's and selling them for money lol...

The more melees you have the more problem the NM will give.

Bascially you're feeding it massive amounts of TP which in turn will throw it right back in damage to the tank, and it also has a HP leeching AoE move like all bones, which is a bad thing if you have 10 people standing nearby to take from.

1pt of well balanced and skilled people will take it down not much trouble, 2hrs if needed.

If you want more people, have people who will not "get in the way" like mages. BLMs with nukes and stuns, healers, etc.

Since it's a bone, fusion/light will rape it badly both of which mnks should accel in, so charge up tp on the leeches you have to kill anyway, and give him a big one when you start the fight.

If you have to have a bunch of melees around, don't have them all gang on it...I hope at 71+ people are at least experianced enough to know the down side of that...but then I've seen aliances that die to cassie...

Get full tp on the leeches and after SC, back off, etc

The biggest problem in this fight is the constant spam of Blood Saber and Black Cloud from this popped NM. As long as you are prepared to deal with that you should be able to do it no problem with a single party of 70+.

If you don't need to stand next to it, then don't. You will just make the fight longer and harder. It is one of the harder WS NM to kill, but its not that bad overall with some forethought.

i think ive got it planned fairly well with the LS, were not gonna take anymore than 8 i believe.
im thinking as is right now, its gonna be:

still aliltte sketchy on the mages, but with the sam, and rng, we'll have double light capabilities i suppose.

Go mage heavy on all kinds. Whms can even nuke this nm almost as well as blms thanks to it being undead. Melees are a liability that drag out the fight thanks to blood saber. More melees you have beyond the tank, the harder the fight is.

Also remember the area you're fighting in is very small and the leeches will aggro. So try and get the fight done as quickly as possible. Get a decent Light combination if possible (RNG + MNK is great) and have the WHMs and BLMs burst.

The worst thing about this NM is its location...the leeches lurking around the pop area are quite annoying.

im not 100% positiv about this but i think the NM has a abillity to one-shot you.
something like a Burst-enchanted punch ><
its been a long time since i fought this NM for a friend... so if anyone noticed this atk please let me and the others know

It probably just hit you with a powerful Hell Slash. On high level bones it can be pretty devistating.

What Red said is true. It doesn't have any special attack that other bone mobs don't have.

fought this NM today killed off everyone except me (mnk) the thf and the whm.

its much easier when u take a few monks we had 2
